I feel the Baptist Churches on the Eastern Shore of Virginia got isolated by history and the influx of other Baptist doctrines of the North mitigrating toward that area created conglomerates. quote]

However, my sources say they are with this association but--I do not see them listed as a church within that association. Nor some of the others from the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

The link for the General Association of General Baptists is incorrect. That link takes you to a page with links to various churches who are members of the GAGB and it does contain a link to the the officaial site of the GAGB.

Where do you come up with the figure of 38,000 "trinitarian" denominations? I know where there is a figure of 37,000 denominations but that is inclusive to Arian, Sabellian, and Trinitarian denominations.

I didn't count them, but there is a very long list for Christian Denominations on Wiki

But keep in mind, this list is world wide - in addition - some overlap, for example the list includes the SBC and the Southern Baptists of Texas - of which all would be part of the SBC...

But an interesting article overall.
