John made the first bad remark. It all comes from scripture and sure to some it is weird I figure A mature Christian doesn't need anyone to teach them. The Bible say so We have the holy spirit for that. Sure my post was weird and I'll be weird right along with scripture I just told him how I see him and his remark.. Now the other hatefull members want to run me out on a rail. You have that authority

What bad remark? How did I disrespect you?

You know, you've called me a false prophet contrary to Scripture. You cannot name a single false prophecy I've made. So, with all your talk about obeying Scripture, you are disobeying it by calling me a false prophet with no evidence.

MB, many of us have shown you Scriptures.

You claim you need no further instruction than the Scriptures.

It is perplexing that when Scripture is shown you don’t accept it, yet make the claim you accept only Scripture for instruction?

How then, because you reject Scripture offered as foundational for you to conform your position to Scriptures, is one supposed to show you the truth?

You have blocked outside educational sources.
You have blocked BB educational sources.
You have even blocked the information offered you from Scriptures.

How is one then learning?

Help us in understanding how to help you in your striving to knowledge?

Isn't interesting who comes out of the wood work who wants to teach me and I won't have it. Those who preach contrary to the word. This type of thinking is why I started this thread. I certainly do not need or want any teaching from you. Like I'm suppose to take your word for it.

What I mean by False prophet is that you claimed something wasn't in scripture.. You were absolutely sure of your self so I showed you it was. Prophets also preach and you sir do not appear to know enough scripture to do what you claim to.. I do not claim to know everything but certainly you don't either..
You started this stink, live with it, and stop making excuses. You're still no better than anyone here.

No I didn't. Tell me what it was, or you are bearing false witness again.

What in the world are you talking about?

Thanks for a good laugh.

I have no idea what you mean here. What did I start? What do I have to live with?

You started the thread and called me a false prophet--and never told me what I was prophesying falsely (because there isn't anything). Since you refuse to acknowledge your sin, I'm out of here.

I never said we should that comes from you. It's your mistake you do the same with scripture as you do in everyday conversations. You just can't see the truth of a matter as long as carry around your preconceived thoughts about a subject
In stead you should check it out with scripture.

We have, and that is why we are Calvinists!

Absolutely not. Why in the world would you say such a thing? I love the Word of God with all of my heart, and all the truths in it. I read it every day in three different languages. I've translated the NT and some of the OT into Japanese. I love the Bible, and believe all of its truths.

Tell you what. I'm so disgusted by your statement about me denying Bible truth that with this post I'm done talking to you. You have said on this thread that we don't need teachers, and that we don't need books about the Bible. I've tried to get you to respond to some points about that, but you'd rather split hairs. Fine. Go your own way.

Fine. You go ahead and claim you only need the Holy Spirit, and God's man can't help you. I've preached and taught the Gospel for 50 years, but you don't like preachers and Bible teachers to teach you anything. So be it. I'll quit trying.

See verse 1.

You've said we don't need Bible teachers. The Bible says we do. End of story.

You missed the point entirely. We are told in Matthew 28:20 that we are to be "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you." If you even think some one might have gotten saved through your testimony, you are to teach them what Christ taught. If you don't you are a disobedient Christian. TEACH!
His take on this sounds to me very much like stating :bible on;y', which is not at all what was meant by Sola Scriptura!

His tuning from God is really fuzzy, as he has you as being one of us Calvinists, and that you are teaching falsely, while its his teachings to appear to need real scripture corrections!

You seem to have a haughty spirit, that refuses to be corrected or rebuked!

What has he posted here that qualifies being "false teaching", as just holding to Calvinism or Arminian theology themselves is not "false teachings"

Wow your right Jesus was a Man and God. You have a problem with the KJV you should pray about it.You know Calvinism was thought up by a Gnostic named Agustine

Thought that Calvin grew up in the scriptures?

@MB,

We both have exercised the frustration of not finding a common ground between us, and for that I am truly saddened.

I posted (#98) in a sincere effort for us to find some area of which to begin so that edification between us may be gained.

It is obvious by the pushback of your posts you are reacting at being wounded rather than interacting with clarity, but remember that the Scriptures declare, “The wounds of a friend are faithful, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.”

I have declared you my friend and brother in Christ, and in my zeal to see you grow in wisdom and understanding of both Scripture and the principles of Scripture, you have taken my posts as unacceptable.

But understand this, I am not your enemy, but a servant of the Lord, seeking to obey the prompts from His Spirit.

I trust that, in crossing over at His pleasure and providence, we will have fellowship together in the bond of peace and love.

Until then, my desire for you is to continue in the wisdom and knowledge of the Savior.

By the way, the website's intention was to warn of the dangers of the traditions of men, regardless of sect, all are wrong
Your claim echos Joseph Smith, who (allegedly) prayed to his god about which church denomination he should join. Smith wrote in 1820 the following in the Mormon Scripture Pearl of Great Price: "I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong". You might want to either revise or explain that claim, as it certainly looks like someone else is claiming to have the proverbial corner on the market of truth.

There is nothing common between me and Calvinism.
