Except that we are to give forth the full council of the word of God, not just bits and pieces of it!
How did Paul minister in Ephesus?

You don't need to read the bowl judgments to a six year old when you are presenting The Gospel of salvation to him.

Doe he feel that he would have to deal with people objecting to the miracles and events in the OT, such as genesis, or exactly what?

He has over the last decade evangelize and dealt with post modern thinkers. Most are secular university educated. Asking them before conversion to Christianity to accept 6 day creation, etc. Is a pill they won't swallow. Stanley's approach is to let those issues be dealt with post conversion. Small, small steps.

Have you ever dealt with someone who does not believe there is any absolute truth? A person who believes everything is relative?
If you have not, you should go find such a person see how well "The Bible says it so its true" works on them.

The Holy Spirit can overcome their issues, just speak the scriptures to them!
Paul was speaking to the philosophers and heavy thinkers of His day, and was preaching to them the scriptures...

Andy does preach The Scriptures to them! Explain to me why he must include the Old Testament in his witnessing! This sentence is just so I can add an exclamation mark at the end! This so I can add another!
Seriously man, exclamation marks at the end of every sentence you type are annoying as Crap!

I am just suggesting that we should teach and preach the entire Bible, as all of it was inspired.

The point is that when dealing with a specific audience, use of the O.T. is not an effective tool.

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV) For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Amos 8:11 (KJV) Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

There is an appropriate place for using certain passages. Would you use Leviticus 11 to witness to a 5 year old?

No, he is not liberal. He is shallow. Listening to him reminds me of my first grade Sunday School.
The problem seems to be that while he might mean well, his method leaves much to be desired, as it does seem to be watering down the scriptures!

This is my last reply because I am tired of the subject. They used the "O.T." because the people they were speaking with knew the subject matter and understood the prophecies, law, manners, and customs it referenced. Stanley's target audience is clueless about all of it. The same bait does not work well on crappie and striped bass. You put a big foot long Blue back Herring on a 10/0 circle hook and you will wear Striper out. You can fish for years with that set up and you won't catch a Crappie.
The Apostles and jesus used OT in speaking to sinners ALL the time, as that was all they had for awhile!
