Looks like this one was taken down also.

I was at the Hospital yesterday and a lady made a very good point, with all the stuff being said about Obama all of a sudden it's hard to know what to believe so I think all but the conservatives are just blocking it all out. They attribute it to just more smear tactics.

she also made a good point by saying while America is falling apart McCain is stuck on Ayres. It's as if the conservatives are on the wrong page of the song book. The rest of us are on one page and they are stuck singing the old song.

McCain is not showing much leadership unless you count leader of a mob vigilante style group leadership for president. Those rallies being shown with people saying, "treason" and "kill him" is not good TV then they turn to the camera at the end and ask, "don't you want to join our cause"? This is really starting to look ugly.

This thread is about Obama the messiah. Not about McCain.
Yur only complaint is about McCain, and nothing about Obama being declared the messiah from more then one person. So you don't care about the new obama religion?

I am not a supporter of Obama or even like Farrakhan....

but in the video, Farrakhan speaks about God using people and then mentions Obama and says the Messiah is speaking... in my opinion he could have been referring to God since he spoke of him at the beginning of this clip.

It's a clip so we can't know for sure what he is saying unless he hear more of it after the clip ends.

It could be that he called Obama the Messiah, but it isn't cut and dry like some would think...

Clips are taken out of context on both sides, and unless you hear/see the entire clip you really can't say one way of the other without assuming.

So pastor, you have no problem with Obama being called the "Messiah"?

I no see no stinkin video. I have no idear who said what and in what context.

Donna,

I don't know about a new Obama religion so I have no view on it at this time. When I see factual proof about Obama holding services with Obamites worshiping him then I will express my view and feelings.

So there is no religion unless people gather together in front of the person of their worship and worship together while that person of worship calls them to worship him, standing there in front of them accepting their worship?
Tell that to the muslims, the buddists, the hindus. I supose theres no such thing as false religion then is there. because the person of their worship isn't standing in front of them.
yeah right

It's mildly interesting to observe "Christians" try to justify voting for the "Messiah".

 Uh huh. Sure.....;)

Another "Christian" who doesn't seem to have the gift of discernment.

I believe you know what I was saying but since you want to open this door, we could start on Palin worship if you like.

I don't see anyone going to get an Obama haircut or a pair of Obama glasses. Do you really want to go down this road?

Just to warn you, this is an ugly road and the end has a bridge that goes nowhere.

I haven't seen the video yet. Maybe Farrakhan is worshipping Obama but I would expect that to be considered blasphemy in the Nation of Islam.

As an aside, calling someone a messiah means saviour is not necessarily an act of worship or have any religious meaning.

Bush could be called messiah for saving the Iraqis from Saddam. Kevin Garnett could be called messiah for bringing the Celtics out of the cellar to the championship.

Obama could be called messiah for the perception he would "save" the political and economic situation in the United States. They could be wrong but so could people who think Palin is an Esther.

I don't think anyone actually calls Obama messiah but if they did, I don't necessarily see anything wrong with that if taken in context.

Actually, the Word of God says:

Matt 24:24
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
(KJV)

But, I get what you are saying. I know I will not vote for Obama. I have changed my mind about this election. I don't particularly like McCain, but I cannot vote for Obama!

I just heard it. He isn't calling Obama the Messiah, he said when the messiah speaks... I thin you're right, this is equal to Palin being Esther.

I guess I can rank you in the group of 'another Christian that doesn't have the gift of Grace".....

I was only suggesting that there is another way to look at this.. I am not an Obama supporter...

The way I see it one has to take the spin from either side and know that there could be another side to the story.. The clip never said Obama was the Messiah.. Never.
