I've asked for a non-right-wing source. So far, all I have seen in print above (I repeat, I CANNOT play videos at work) comes from what appears to be the US equivalent of the Daily Mail. I would expect therefore to have this verified by a link to the likes of the Independent (centrist) or the Times (right of centre, but not as far to the right as the Mail), not necessarily the Daily Mirror or the Guardian both of which are leftist. Can you put up something from your equivalent of the Times or the Independent to verify the story?

Many years ago one of my daughters (young teen at the time) went on a missionary trip with our church to Mexico to help build a local church building.
She returned and was moping around obviously depressed and the short of it : she was very upset about the plight of the Mexican people in the area they visited.I talked with the youth leaders and they confirmed that she was really down about it. Seeing the way they lived - some with no bathroom facilities in their homes, no running water and many other things that we take for granted.
i was empathetic as she communicated her sorrow.
We can all help.
Go to them.
If we can't go - give to those who can (individuals, missions, Christian charitable organizations).
Pray - we can all do that.
Our family has supported 2 individual children financially (actually the whole family is helped) from age 5 though 18 and another one we have just started supporting.
We chose World Vision even though they are a Christian organization they only help with material things from the donations.
Why: because they have much more latitude in the international governments in that they dont "preach".
They are however allowed to direct the children to local churches and Christian schools which happened for our supported kids.
Also you can buy animals - milk goats and other gifts and have them sent to your children. which we did.
you can support projects - water well drilling, purchase of Christian school supplies, mosquito nets, medicine, clothing...
You can write directly to them (assuming you know Spanish - or you can have World Vision translate - takes time).
Another benefit - because World Vision is not a "church" they can connect the children's family to government organizations of food, clothing and medicine charities unavailable to even allowed missionaries.

Am I correct in assuming you would consider the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, or the National Review to be "non-right-wing source(s) for corroboration"?

Ok I've watched it and really it begs more questions than it answers: the closest reference to the issue in hand (forcible separation of children from parents) is in the last 30 seconds where Obama is accused of doing that. The politicians' quotes are 'tough talking' generalistic references to illegal immigration, and the remaining references to children being detained are unclear as to whether these are ad idem with the present issue or referring to unaccompanied minors.
Too vague and nebulous therefore to constitute a 'smoking gun' as claimed.
