Entitlement- the fact of having a right to something.
the belief that one is inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment.
How would a person know what you have in mind?

Probably from how it is used. Life being an entitlement is not the same as a sense of entitlement.Or
the belief that one is inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment.
How would a person know what you have in mind?
I still do not know...Just ask.
Think for a minute. I spoke of the right to life as an entitlement to life.I still do not know...
Have a nice day...Think for a minute. I spoke of the right to life as an entitlement to life.
Does that mean "the belief that one is inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment" or "the fact of having a right to something"?
Hint - in the context of my posts, it can mean only one.
Bonus hint - I mean the fact of having a right to something.
Yes, I suppose I am entitled to a nice day.Have a nice day...
Yes, I appointed myself hall monitor and can bestow nice days to those who deserve them...Yes, I suppose I am entitled to a nice day.
Quote the exact scripture to us so we can come to agreement.According to scripture, God has bestowed the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to humanity, and sinful man tries to take away those rights. Key to this insight is God uses persuasion, not compulsion to engender faith among the lost.
That said, no, I do not believe salvation a human entitlement (I believe it is unmerited grace - God loving people when they have no entitlement to that love).
Well....thank you.Yes, I appointed myself hall monitor and can bestow nice days to those who deserve them...
No. It is a result or consequence. What men earn is death (the wages of sin are death but the gift of God is life). Then is damnation a human entitlement?
Damnation is the result of the curse due to Adam breaking the covenant he had with God. Yes, humans are entitled to damnation. Only by God's grace are we saved. Then is damnation a human entitlement?
There is life and there is eternal life (Genesis 2:7; Genesis 3:22, Romans 5:12, Romans 6:23).No. It is a result or consequence. What men earn is death (the wages of sin are death but the gift of God is life).
We are not entitled to life, but we have earned death.
There is, I agree. But I still believe neither are entitlements. There is life and there is eternal life (Genesis 2:7; Genesis 3:22, Romans 5:12, Romans 6:23).
Then all life and it's procreation should simply cease. The fact that life exists you are wrong. Life is its own entitlement. Furthermore, God's command to mankind, Genesis 1:28, ". . . Be fruitful, and multiply, . . ."There is, I agree. But I still believe neither are entitlements.
Why? Men do not have an unalienable right to own a pistol. Are you advocating a gun ban??Then all life and it's procreation should simply cease. The fact that life exists you are wrong. Life exists not because of human rights but because of God.
Done and done, read the thread.Quote the exact scripture to us so we can come to agreement.
