    MB, you are wrong.
    They are addressed to the elect and all believers, people of the promise, are elect (the Israel of God).
    You seem to be chopping up the Bible into only the parts you want. You're acting like Thomas Jefferson with the Cotton Patch bible or like the Jesus Seminar folks that attempted to color code Jesus words according to what they thought might have been actually said, or not.
    Romans 9 is written to me...and I assume you as well.

    I am both. I am a child of the promise, chosen by God according as a gracious act whereby he gave me faith to believe.
