Keith, the unbelief being referred to above is that of Jesus Christ. In other words, it is "rejecting" the Holy Spirit's convictions, therefore sentencing the person to an eternity in hell.

This is thought, by many, to be the unforgiveable sin. The sin of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we do know that it is a sin to ignore the Holy Spirit and if we continue to do so, it is unforgiveable, so working from the back to the front, it does make sense.

Thanks for the response. I don't want to hijack the thread, but this really does not solve any of the problems with this position. I'll consider starting a new thread.
