No; that's the reason I contend-- often unsuccessfully on this board-- that Chrsitians of the NT era need only the NT to follow, which has no such command as to "dash enemies' little ones upon the rocks." Nevertheless, there are those who do take such commands seriously. Wasn't the reason for Rabin's assassination because of his '"compromising with the enemy" in regard to Israeli sovereignty over land?-- more land than Israel currently occupies, all the way to the Euphrates... legitimizing some Arab concerns.
So some Jews surely do want to dash their enemies' little ones upon the rocks-- so they don't turn into more big ones. Some Christians do want what the OT may give an excuse for, such as the paraphrase you brought up. And certainly some Muslims do take very seriously their holy book's commands to convert the "infidels" or to kill them.
Maybe we're both making the same point-- that it's only some who are literalists in any of the Abrahamaic faiths. But if there are a billion Muslims in the world (I think the number is more), and one in a thousand are like this, that's still a million murderers/terrorists.
