Because I have seen people with respiratory problems literally collapse from the stink, that’s why

I have been Catholic my whole life and never have seen that happen, so I doubt your veracity in saying that.

Yeah, not surprised at your answer on that one. You have gone so far from how Jesus wanted us to worship him. One again you do not listen to the Scriptures you say you hold to the highest esteem. Philippians: 9Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name above all names, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.…

we generally don’t throw up in services though

I have never seen that either, so I will assume you are continuing your lying.

Its not outward ritualism that counts, but the inward work of the Holy Spirit!

Yes, and the working of the Holy Spirit inside of me tells me that kneeling and bowing during worship is the correct thing to do. (See Philippians 2:9-11). Humble yourself before the Lord!

Jesus told us that we now worship in Spirit and truth, not in ritualism and false theology!

Which is what you don't do.. Nowhere in the Scriptures or in the whole historical record of the Christian experience does it tell us to make the pulpit the focus of worship instead of the altar which represents the sacrifice of Christ - nowhere. You are way out in left field with the way you worship.

so have you ever had COPD? How about asthma ? How about early stage lung cancer? How bout bronchitis even? that stuff is toxic to those people

so how many times must you be told you are a card carrying member of an apostate religious community. Evidenced by your defense of an indefensible organization. My own mother, dying in her bed told me that Roman Catholism is a sham and she was a RC for over 70 years. Oh I’m not saying that other religious organizations are not also shams but you take this to an extreme... one has to wonder why you even post on a Baptist forum.

Week word, ‘assume’ ... you do know what happens when you assume, right.

Jesus told us to make icons of people to venerate them as special members of the body? Jesus told us to go to shrines on pilgrimage to find enlightenment? Jesus told us that by placing water on an infant they would be redeemed?

Orthodox church. They baptize infants by immersion. No sprinkling. Makes for interesting videos.

says infants are to be baptized and that teaching has been going on for millennia

Jesus set up a church here on earth to decide such things, with leaders to make those decisions. Denying that denies the history of the Christian Church here on earth. Good grief, what is wrong with surrounding yourself with religious items?

As for baptism, time and time again we are commanded in the scriptures to be baptized into the Christian faith - do you have a problem with that? Orthodox Christians baptize their infants, some by immersion and some by sprinkling. It is not my problem that over 1500 years later you folks changed that practice. I will continue to believe the orthodox teaching on this thank you very much.

Nowhere does the Bible say infants are to be baptized. You have a millenia of false teaching in your tradition. The Jews had similar false teaching in their traditions.

Jesus establishes his church by his choosing the members, not by members creating traditions from thin air.

How long as we recognize that the Lord cares nothing for our position taken while praying!

There is no Mass in scriptures, and we pray to God anywhere, as he looks upon the heart!

Could be.... I’ve always toyed with messing with them in retaliation but they are not worth the time. There are other ways though. Like convert each Catholic you can... it isn’t hard considering.:Thumbsup ;)
