Mat.7:20. What is the verse referring to? Works? No it isn't. Go and check the context? This is just another verse taken out of context. How do you judge someone by their works?
Our fruit is what is produced because of who we are connected to. unrighteousness unto death or righteousness unto life.

Peter was an apostle. Are you?
A silly argument. He was an example and you suggest we are not to do things he did. Right!

And what evidence is that? Are you God. Do you know the heart?
The heart is deceitful and wicked above all things. Who can know it?
Certainly not you!! God alone knows the heart. Not you.

We can know the heart by the deeds.
But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.
Evil heart evil deeds.

You don't love the sinner? Shame on you! If you have someone disobedient to the Scriptures in your church why not go to him. The Scriptures teach that the strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak. What do you think that means?
And you know I don't love sinners?!
I was not speaking of an individual sin but the practice of sin. You have taken my words our of context just like you do the bible. The passage you referred to in Gal 6 is speaking of a brother or sister who has something in their life that is unbecoming for a Christian and to go them in love and compassion helping them to see the wrong and put it out of their life. It is not speaking of someone who is practicing sin as they are lost.

The word backsliding is used in the Scripture, so I believe you are wrong.
Secondly, you don't know what "fruits" to look for, so how would you know? You take Scripture out of context, and the Scripture you use you don't know the meaning of.

As usual because you cannot defend a false position you reconstruct the word of God. The word backslider is only in the OT and it always refers to the nation of Israel who is lost. There is one time when the word is used with an individual but the individual is representing Israel's lost state. Backsliders are biblically lost.

You have been trying to hide the truth of Scripture here--probably because you don't want to listen to what the real truth teaches.
Childish statement no substance

That is true. You ought not to misuse Scripture.
childish statement no substance

You need to find out what these verses mean before posting them on the board.
childish statement, no substance

If they were as clear as you think why don't you know the meaning?
Another childish statement, no substance
You have displayed this in your own post. You don't know the meanings of these verses.

Again a childish statement, no substance

Again a childish statement, no substance
No, it wasn't.
First, in some of the Scriptures you tried to explain you demonstrated that you didn't know the meaning of them.
Second, the rest of them you simply called them childish with no attempt to explain them at all. What kind of attitude is that?

First off it is not judging by the standards of scripture although satan would love us to believe it is so as to keep the truth from being known. If you remember we can know them by their fruit.

Let's look at this post again, this time more carefully. Freeatlast, you take Scripture out of context, and you use it for your own means when you don't know what the Scripture means. That is what you have done here.
The Scripture you have referred to is Mat.7:20, "you shall know them by their fruits."

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (Matthew 7:20)

Now look at the context. What was Jesus talking about when he said that?
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (Matthew 7:15)
--The context is false prophets with their false teaching. It is not about carnal Christians, the difference between carnality and the lost, or the difference between the spiritual and unspiritual. It is about false prophets. You have taken the verse out of context.

And yet you continue, having taken this verse out of context:
The same with anyone who is claiming to be saved in church or out of church when they clearly meet the evidence of being lost. The disservice is to allow them to continue on without confrontation all because of believing satan instead of the Lord as it shows a clear lack of love for the sinner.
Remember, this is not what this passage is talking about. You are building a false doctrine on a misinterpretation of Scripture. It is not about those claiming to be saved in church but only meet the evidence of being lost. That is far from the truth here. It is speaking of false prophets, not those that are Christians in name only--pretenders, so to speak. You have it wrong.
So according to scripture you are wrong. First there is no such thing as a backslider and second those who have been led astray by false teaching to think they are saved can be known by their fruits.
No, I don't have it wrong. You are building a false doctrine here on a misinterpretation of Scripture. You are still on Matthew 7:20 and haven't veered from it.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
You quote this verse without explanation, but in reality you don't know the meaning of it.
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Where are these verses found? I will tell you.
They are found in Matthew 7:17,18, just before your quotation of Mat.7:20. Again it is a reference to false teachers. A good tree brings forth good fruit. The fruit is doctrine. A corrupt tree (false teachers) bring forth corrupt fruit (false doctrine).
Jesus had said previously to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees. They were to take heed of the poisonous doctrine and teaching of the Pharisees and now the false prophets. You shall know them by their fruit--their false doctrine. This is not speaking of their works. You can't know a person by their works; you know them by their doctrine.
The problem is not with the scriptures or even what they mean as they are clear.
They are not as clear as you seem. You can't build a doctrine on Scripture taken out of context.
The problem is with so many in the church that has turned from the word to come up with its own teachings contrary to what the Lord has given, following after what satan says, but this too is spoken of.
The people that have turned from the word are those that are not teaching it correctly. Or, at least they have erred, and in so doing are leading people astray.

You have done the same thing with 2Cor.5:17, another Scripture badly misused and misunderstood.
