Hmm, is what I say. NASA must have had real pros back in the day when they had all those supposed moon landings. But now, well, we can't do it. It's just not possible. We need advanced technologies that we do not possess now. Hmmm.

So, out of all who have participated in this thread, aside from myself -- all of you still continue to believe in the moon-walkers. Interesting.

@RipponRedeaux I want to chime in again - in a more lighthearted way this time. :)

I have watched all of "The Andy Griffith Show" episodes from the 1960s, and at times I watch them again on the 24/7 stream of them on the Pluto TV app on my Roku such as while eating lunch or exercising. Anyway, I happened to watch some of the episode, "Stranger in Town", yesterday, and there was a brief funny part of a conversation that reminded me about this thread:

don't give it away - they need to watch the entire program - ie see it in context

I just have been watching the discussion of did they or didn't they... But one thing has been dogging me of all the pros and cons but I ask now if we didn't go to the moon... Then tell me after almost 14 years, where did Michael Jackson get the moon walk?... Brother Glen:Biggrin

How did the moonwalkers manage to avoid the thousands of micrometeorites per hour hitting the lunar surface? Those particles travel at speeds beyond 20,000 per hour. That would cause the LM to be punctured as well as the spacesuits of the astronauts.
