I have always wondered how in the world someone has the energy to murder and rape when they have had no food and water for days. It seems like that would be the LAST thing on the mind of anyone in that situation.

I covet your prayers for my family, and for all the folks stuck in N.O. that are in the shelters of last resort.

Sounds a bit more sound, to me anyhow...WHAT ABOUT HURRICANE KATRINA? Hurricane Katrina devastated the
Gulf coast of the United States, from Alabama to Louisiana, and broke
levies that inundated New Orleans with flood water. For the first
time in my lifetime an American city is being entirely evacuated.
Some have suggested that it was an act of God to prevent a homosexual
festival that was scheduled to begin just two days after the storm
hit. This was reported by WorldNetDaily ("Christian Activist: Act of
God Prevented 'Southern Decadence' Festival," Aug. 31). It could be
that there is a link. American is a wicked nation, and New Orleans is
definitely a wicked city. (I attended the mardi gras two times before
I was saved.) God is holy and judges sin. Then, again, it could be
that there isn't a direct connection. Unless we have a foretelling
prophet among us, and I don't believe that we do, we will not know
for certain this side of eternity what God had in mind for this
storm. Personally, I prefer focusing on things that are absolute and
clear as opposed to speculation. Luke 13:1-5 might be better ground
to stake out. "There were present at that season some that told him
of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their
sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these
Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they
suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye
shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in
Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all
men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent,
ye shall all likewise perish."

I obviously struck a nerve with you and you seem to think that I was attacking you and I apologize for that.Originally posted by LorrieGrace:
I don't think your statement was fair about sitting in peace and comfort. If these people are in involuntary detox due to lack of drugs, I would think that they would be in DTs.
I quit drinking and smoking cold turkey and trust me, raping someone was NOT on my mind, period!
Sure he does. But you aren't he, nor his spokesperson.Your God doesn't judge sin or what?
