First of all, if that college is so cultish in its teachings, why do you let your daughter have communion with a person who goes to that college of heresy led by the charismatic preacher ?
As far as searching the scriptures , did you search the scriptures to see if it was true before you disagreed with schaap ? and , have you or your daughter searched the scriptures since you heard about that sermon ? Or did you just let it pass by and come up with a conclusion before searching all the scriptures?

Concerning the part where they have tons of pictures of hyles ,
does it really make you sad ? Sad enough to ask God to convict them for worshipping him ? to go on a bandwagon of preachers that get together and their outlines in their sermons are on what is wrong with hyles and how to be saved from him .
Let me ask you a question . If I were to visit your house one day, and I started looking at the pictures on the wall , who would they be of ? Would they be like the average home which has nothing but pictures of family members , their kids, parents, grandparents and other family, etc. Or would they be of Jesus ? Then I would probably have to ask is your home all about your family, or is it about Christ . Who are you worshiping at your home ? I can take a wild guess , figuring what version you probably read, your jesus might have long hair if you dont have a KJV Bible .
Although I dont agree with the preachers at hyles for saying that all the other versions are created by the devil . Theyre not ! Theyre created by people that just help the devil. Some know the "work" they are in, others might be sincere people that just cant understand the Holy Bible 'cause they are the natural man that understands not the things of God because they dont have the Spirit to teach them all things. The KJV was written in a fourth grade level anyways, and the last time I checked, those men all graduated from colleges, have masters degrees in seminaries and what not, and they cant understand the Bible ? yeah, whatever dude !

The last time I checked on the reading level for various Bibles the KJV was 12th grade.

Great then that would make it understandable to read since you passed the twelfth grade. Maybe when all your brainwashed youth are in twelfth grade they can start reading the real Bible

Do you believe this from http://www.hylesanderson.com/drhyles.php "This church has a membership of over 100,000 and averaged 10,000 baptisms per year for the last five years of his ministry."

That is 192+ baptisms per week. If one person baptized that many each week it would take over three hours to baptize one person every twenty seconds on the average.

If one person discipled the average of one person per year and that person discipled one person at the end of 40 years there would be 5.5 x 10 to the 11th power. That's more than the population of the world.

The point is that no man can accomplsih what one can do by continually discipling another who disciples another who disciple another, etc.

Only a braggard and egotist would mention about how many have been baptized and all the other accomplishments. I heard the same thing from the current pastor as I listened to him speak about his accomplishements in a sermon. He mentioneed about how they want their students to know how to build a large church. Jesus never built a church let alone a large church. But His kingdom is still growing. Ever read about Jesus brag about what He accomplished. He is God too.

Take a look at what Paul writes about his righteousness and compares it to Christ. There is absolutely nothing we can brag about.God can snuff our life out in an instant. He can take away everything we own and everything we are in one sweep. It is not about us but about Him. It is not about how many we baptize and drawing attention to us or any church, but about Christ and what he does. It is about His glory and not ours. It is about us decreasing and He increasing.

2 Cor. 10:17,18, "But he who boasts is to boast in the Lord. For it is not he who commends himself that is approved, but he whom the Lord commends."

2 Cor. 12:9,10, "And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong."

Gal. 6:14, "But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world."

James 4:16, "But as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil."

Prov. 27:2,3, " Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips."

Jer. 9:23, 24, "Thus says the Lord, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things," declares the Lord."

I am repulsed by any man who would credit God's work to himself. Any man who preaches should know it is not his preaching that saves. Boasting about those who come forward when he preaches should know that the scalpel cannot boast. The only person who could have any reason to boast would be the operator of the scalpel--the master.

Charles Spurgeon came to Christ when a laymen preached who couldn't preach. Spuregeon went on to become a great preacher. Never once have I ever read his sermons and how he boasted about how great of a preacher he was and how many came forward. Never once have I ever heard Billy Graham ever talk about how great his preaching is and how many come forward. I cannot ever recall a single instance where Billy Graham ever talked about how to build a great evangelistic organization. God blesses those He chooses and we must remember who is the master and who gives the gifts. We are responsible to humble ourselves and be His servants about His work. It is not our work but His. It is His kingdom not ours.

Athan - Glad to have you on board, but mellow, dude! People are concerned that the evils of hyles will continue to be perpetrated under Schaap and the track record shows they have much to worry about.

BTW, no one has to "prove" hyles was a liar. That made me chuckle!

I have little use for hyles, his morals, his ocverups for his perverted son, his methods, his so-called salvation message, or his abberent theology. I pray for FBC and the new pastor to be faithful to the Word, not to the memory . .

Youre right "Dr." bob , all the youth of america should go to your school where there is no problems and everyone agrees with eachother right ?
The whole hac and fbc crowd should go to hell for being the first people to ever destroy and divide the church .
Does everyone at your school agree with you ?

Okay, sorry for being fisty. I'll mellow out on this subject . Thanks for the welcome . One sincere question though , why is everyone all concerned about the evils of hyles continuing to be perpetrated under schaap if they dont even go there ? It sounds more like they just like to talk about him . I am not a hylander and dont intend to be one , but I can say this that hyles or schaap arent the only teachers in the christian world to be worried about .

Christians are to warn other's if there is a doctrine of error present. There are MANY doctrines in error present at HAC/FBCH. The problem is that the church and college have been indoctrinated so long by the "Wizard" of Hyles, that they cannot see past to the truth. If you have a chance read Voyle Glovers book, Fundamental Seduction. Better yet, look up Dr. Sumner or others whom have been attacked by Hyles for "disloyalty" after they had broken free from his cultish leadership. George Godfrey would be another.

Many are still worried, because many IFB churches (especially those who are satellite churches of Hyles) have a habit of sending innocent teens there to learn these heretical doctrines and lifestyles. It is important to make sure they know the truth and to help them avoid making the same mistakes many others have already made. The reason people are so hard is because so many still are 100% Hyles supporters and help perpetuate the false doctrines he taught.

Anyone know of any Hyles graduates on the west coast? What I have found is that the further people get from the Bible belt and the harder it is to win people to Christ and the less nonsense you see in the pastors and people among the evangelicals. Of course the liberals are all the same--dead. The local Christians simply don't buy into all the jargon and religious nonsense. In those places you cannot hang a shingle and set up church. But the Christians in those places are strong because the antagonism is stronger too.

Yes, he was a liar who denied his adultery with other woman. </font>[/QUOTE]Why do those kind of men get caught in the very acts they preach against? Do they think they are some kind of god above that and so don't take adequate precaution.

My former neighbor was a family attorney and not a believer. He told me one day that the greatest number of divorces come from people who go to one particular church. It was a church that took a strong stance for the Bible. But there was one problem. They were a sick church. As a family we visited once and my daughter told me she never wanted to return again. She was only in fifth grade. We felt judged as soon as we steppeed in the door. It was like walking into a funeral. The place seemed morbid.
