You didn't need to address it in the first place, unless you've arbitrarily decided the First Amendment only applies to opinions you support.

Further, you do not know what I understand and do not understand, so do ot presume to think on my behalf.

Apology accepted.

My apologies are to the board, not to you, I hit the mouse, or something, my posts are getting broken up.

You never challenged anyone. You made a blanket statement, don;t blame the board, don't blame anything else. If you don't like having you words thrown back at you, then I suggest you pray while choosing them.
I'm not blaming the board, Curtis, I'm blaiming you.

Instead of saying, "Gee, tragic, I disagree and here's why," it's like someone pulled your string and you started whining about one word of the post.

Seriously. Outside. Trees, sunshine, fresh air. Consider it.

I doubt most people get as much fresh air as I do, TP.

Back on subject, "stupid" is a big word. It's a word that causes trouble. Perhaps you could admit that.

I think it was horrible that the guy was taunting him while he was on the gallows. I think it's horrible that the P.C. ploice wouldn't let Sadaam get a Christian witness. I think it's horrible his last words indicate he wasn't saved.

I would have disagreed.

The statemenr you make above, and the one I made in the post which caused Curtis so much emotional turmoil, is a general one. "It's stupid" is far different than "you're stupid."

I didnt watch any of it, what were his last words? and what do you mean by a Christian witness?

I didn't watch it, I got a transcript from a link here. His last words indicated his God had Muhammed for a messenger. And I meant for a missionary, or minister to talk with him, you know, a soldier or somone to tell him of Christ.

I personally think that it is stupid to think that Saddam Hussein shouldnt of been hanged.

I respect your opinion and can you please provide me some info on why do you feel that he should have been hanged. I agree that he did horrible things dont get me wrong I just want to learn as much as I can.

Its just hard for me to grasp that you know because sure he did horrible things. However isnt Sin = Sin. Is killing a person the same as telling a lie. Can we justify our selfs by mesuring Sin. Like.. doesnt the Bible say that when we talk about one another is like killing that person or something.

Like my sister was saying she was Happy that he got hanged. Many celebrated but I just prayed because I know that I am not perfect, I sin every single day and if it was up to man.. I would be dead but Christ died for me and thats awesome. So how can I wish death upon another human being no matter how bad they were. Please educate me on this guys!!! GOD Bless You All!!!

I was saddened that there was a man who refused Christ to his death. He's heard about Christ - it was his choice to deny Him.

I was not saddened that a man who tortured and killed so many - even his own family - was put to death. He will no longer hurt anyone and there is no hope of him coming back to power. God put together the rules of the death penalty in the OT and I think there was more than enough evidence to convict this man.

Death is sad - sin is even sadder.

Saddam Hussein died while reciting the Shahada, which is the Muslim statement of faith: I testify that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messanger of God. Saddam was a Sunni Muslim. Saddam didn't get a Christian witness because his executioners were also Muslim, Shiites. Many Muslims consider changing from Islam to another religion to be apostasy.

What, there was hope of that before he was hanged? On what planet?

LOL - Well, he could have been sprung (crazier things have happened) but even if that were an absolute possiblity, just the fact that he was alive gave hope of that. His death cements the fact that he will never again be in power.

... and will forever be a martyr to a cause.

Better to let him fizzle out in a prison somewhere unpronounceable, like Pinochet.

But lust for revenge must be sated, I suppose... although it never, ever, is...

oh please, it isnt revenge, now you are making him sound like a martyr yourself. Letting him live just keeps the memory of him alive and encourages others to follow his footsteps. In the old testament there were people put to death and that wasnt revenge.
