What do you know about Greek?
What do you know about it? I have a good Interlinear Bible.
From the YLT Act 13:48 And the nations hearing were glad, and were glorifying the word of the Lord, and did believe—as many as were appointed to life age-during;

What is the best translation? Let's read from it. Take your pick and tell why.
There is no perfect translation. There are some that are better than others. I'm not an expert in Greek. So I like everyone else depend on the experts for proper translation. Young's Literal translation is literal and accurate to the text it was taken from. I have the interlinear and it show clearly exactly what each Greek word means. In fact the KJV actually leaves a few words out according to the Interlinear.

Being Chosen for Salvation does not save you. IMO election is not Salvation nor is it a guarantee for Salvation. If it were the Jews would have never rejected Christ as there messiah because they would have been saved instead.

then here is a choice to believe or not?

The truth of this verse is in the Greek. The word Belief comes before the word appointed. IOW your hope is based on a mistake in translation.

please show this, I do not see it, Strong's does not show this

Strongs doesn't have everything. It's more like a Dictionary
If you have the E-sword bible program you can look it up your self. If not down load it. It has 20 different versions plus some in different languages.
You may be able to buy one at a Christian book store It's the Young's Literal Translation. Also says the same thing in Green's interlinear Greek tp English This one has the Greek written out with the English Translation of each word under each Greek word so that you have one line of Greek and one line in English under it.
The verse is in post# 62 this thread. I cut and Pasted it from Young's.

I know it seems most on here are Calvinist. I am Not one of them. I believe man has a choice to either believe or not. The rejection of Christ by the Jews prove this is true.

I have enjoyed and recommended the YLT for years

"The word Belief comes before the word appointed" This is wrong. I cant find any relationship.

"Please provide your backup

Free will advocates seem to think so.

This is silly pure philosophy, but let's go. I make a car. I can control it. That doesn't mean I have to. That doesn't mean I can't hand it to someone else who can do whatever he wants to with it.

Your philosophical argument was just so bad, I had to pipe in.
