From the YLT Act 13:48 And the nations hearing were glad, and were glorifying the word of the Lord, and did believe—as many as were appointed to life age-during;

Read it again. Maybe you are so convinced in your own mind it makes you see what you expect.It says the same as the rest of the translations.
What is the best translation? Let's read from it. Take your pick and tell why.Read it again. Maybe you are so convinced in your own mind it makes you see what you expect.

There is no perfect translation. There are some that are better than others. I'm not an expert in Greek. So I like everyone else depend on the experts for proper translation. Young's Literal translation is literal and accurate to the text it was taken from. I have the interlinear and it show clearly exactly what each Greek word means. In fact the KJV actually leaves a few words out according to the Interlinear.What is the best translation? Let's read from it. Take your pick and tell why.

then here is a choice to believe or not?Being Chosen for Salvation does not save you. IMO election is not Salvation nor is it a guarantee for Salvation. If it were the Jews would have never rejected Christ as there messiah because they would have been saved instead.

I know it seems most on here are Calvinist. I am Not one of them. I believe man has a choice to either believe or not. The rejection of Christ by the Jews prove this is true.then here is a choice to believe or not?
I have enjoyed and recommended the YLT for yearsStrongs doesn't have everything. It's more like a Dictionary
If you have the E-sword bible program you can look it up your self. If not down load it. It has 20 different versions plus some in different languages.
You may be able to buy one at a Christian book store It's the Young's Literal Translation. Also says the same thing in Green's interlinear Greek tp English This one has the Greek written out with the English Translation of each word under each Greek word so that you have one line of Greek and one line in English under it.
The verse is in post# 62 this thread. I cut and Pasted it from Young's.

Telling the reason they believed.He was talking to those those who had just believed
The gospel is preached (announced), never offered as a law for the self-righteous to save themselves by.It is not a command to believe but extensive invitation to believe in Him in order to be saved
Where does scripture say that? This has to be your own opinionThe gospel is preached (announced), never offered as a law for the self-righteous to save themselves by.
Free will advocates seem to think so.
