If God chooses, why does He ask me to believe?

Telling the reason they believed.
not in these verses. It tells the reason they left the Jews and went to the Gentiles who were glad to be included in salvation

Act 13:47

For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
Act 13:48
And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
Act 13:49
And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.

Believed to eternal life

I do not find where Jesus only invited us to repent and believe

Rom 11:32

For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

Heb 4:6

Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

But only elect gentiles and elect Jews believe in the true sense.

= God is a bully? How about God mercifully regenerates the elect and they believe the gospel when announced?
How about the opposite?, all are condemned , God has offered pardon to any who believe.

If He wanted to chose a few, He never would have condemned all of us

Doesn't this make God a bully? "Say uncle" or else? Doesn't it turn the gospel into law and grace into works?

Preach = 2784. κηρύσσω kērussō, kay-roos´-so; of uncert. affin.; to herald (as a public crier), espec. divine truth (the gospel):—preach (-er), proclaim, publish.

Evening Reading
Thou art My servant; I have chosen thee.
—Isaiah 41:9
If we have received the grace of God in our hearts, its practical effect has been to make us God's servants. We may be unfaithful servants, we certainly are unprofitable ones, but yet, blessed be His name, we are His servants, wearing His livery, feeding at His table, and obeying His commands. We were once the servants of sin, but He who made us free has now taken us into His family and taught us obedience to His will. We do not serve our Master perfectly, but we would if we could. As we hear God's voice saying unto us, "Thou art My servant," we can answer with David, "I am thy servant; Thou hast loosed my bonds." But the Lord calls us not only His servants, but His chosen ones-"I have chosen thee." We have not chosen Him first, but He hath chosen us. If we be God's servants, we were not always so; to sovereign grace the change must be ascribed. The eye of sovereignty singled us out, and the voice of unchanging grace declared, "I have loved thee with an everlasting love." Long ere time began or space was created God had written upon His heart the names of His elect people, had predestinated them to be conformed unto the image of His Son, and ordained them heirs of all the fulness of His love, His grace, and His glory. What comfort is here! Has the Lord loved us so long, and will He yet cast us away? He knew how stiffnecked we should be, He understood that our hearts were evil, and yet He made the choice. Ah! our Saviour is no fickle lover. He doth not feel enchanted for awhile with some gleams of beauty from His church's eye, and then afterwards cast her off because of her unfaithfulness. Nay, He married her in old eternity; and it is written of Jehovah, "He hateth putting away." The eternal choice is a bond upon our gratitude and upon His faithfulness which neither can disown.

well good, but not the same thing.
Absolutely is. So is 'Remember the Sabbath.'

But if you need more: 1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

A commandment to the Hebrews is not the same. A commandment to the saved is not the same as what we are discussing... a command to the lost to believe

So am I to understand, according to your argumentation, God for no reason raised His Son from the dead? Romans 1:4, ". . . And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: . . ."

No response needed.

He doesn't ask. He commands it. Just as He commands that you do not sin, knowing that it is not in your power not to.

"knowing that it is not in your power not to"

How about scripture to support your false theology?

Deuteronomy 30

11“For this commandment which I command you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it out of reach. 12“It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will go up to heaven for us to get it for us and make us hear it, that we may observe it?’ 13“Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will cross the sea for us to get it for us and make us hear it, that we may observe it?’ 14“But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may observe it.

Luke 19

41When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it, 42saying, “If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes.

Jesus wept so is his desire of salvation genuine or not?

Also if everyone is already totally depraved why would anything have to be hidden from their eyes as a consequence?

God doesn't want anyone on earth to sin again RIGHT NOW. He commands all not to sin. God is not a LIAR about his wants and desire.
