As far as deceiving the nations goes. The gospel to the nations binds him.
Except that He has countless false messiah and cults still operating today!

I believe the purpose of tongues as recorded in Acts is past. However, as long as the prince of the power of the air has influence over mankind, he will counterfeit the gift to confuse anyone/anywhere he can.
I am not sure I know what you mean by the end of the world. If in fact there is no world, there would be no one to speak and no one hear the utterances.

Are you adding to Revelation? I think so, because it limits Satan's binding to no being able to deceive the nations. And we know the gospel preached to the whole world does this.

It's an important thread because at best, tongues are merely of human origin today. And at worst, they are ancient voodoo tongues merged with Wesley Methodism by WM. Seymour, a first generation emancipated slave well versed in voodoo. You need to look into this.
No I don't. I know what tongues are. You apparently do not.

You need to study the history of today's Charismatic movement. It's worse than most can imagine.
I know all about it. Its got nothing to do with what tongues really are.
Voodoo? You know you are bearing false witness against another brother in Christ? And if you are not please show us some kind of quotation used by Seymour proving your point.
As a brother brought up in the Baptist church I demand sincerity and holiness in any kind of religious experience. William Seymour believed that the real miracle on the Day of Pentecost was the outpouring of so much godly love on three thousand people from “every nation under heaven.” The unity Jesus prayed for in John 17 was dramatically realized between ethnic lines. The gift of tongues was merely a means of communicating that love. And so for Seymour, a love that could unite people of all nationalities was all what mattered. He said that if people weren’t expressing the I Corinthians 13 kind of love, then, “I care not how many tongues you may have, you have not the baptism with the Holy Spirit.” As far as Seymour was concerned, the blood of Jesus washed away the color line in Christ’s church. The Foot Washing service, conducted righteously and regularly, ought to help remedy the bad motives that so easily beset us.
And William Seymour warned that, “Whenever the doctrine of the baptism in the Holy Ghost will only be known as the evidence of speaking in tongues, that work will be an open door for witches and spiritualist and free loveism. That work will suffer because all kinds of spirits can come in.”
The Ordinances of the Azusa Street Mission were Basically Seven….
Justification by faith – We are saved, or justified, by simple faith in Christ.
Sanctification - As a second definite work of grace upon the heart and evidenced by the sweet spirit of Christ in the experience and a Holy life!
The baptism in the Holy Ghost - is a gift of power upon the sanctified life, anointing it in service and in work, with the speaking in tongues as one of the signs following’ in the baptized believer along with casting out devils, healing the sick and the fruits of the Spirit accompanying the signs.
Marriage – As a holy union between a man and a woman.
Water Baptism – On those who have reached the age of accountability
Communion - “We believe in the ordinance of the Lord’s supper as instituted by Jesus and followed by the apostles, and teach that it should be frequently observed in holy reverence.”
Foot Washing - “We believe in feet washing as an ordinance, as it was established by our Master before the Lord’s supper, according to John 13:4-18, and believe it was practiced by the Apostles and disciples through the First Century” (1 Tim. 5:10).
If such ordinances are observed, in which more times than not they are not, then the experience can be genuine.

Huh, it is my understanding that in sanctification of the Spirit that preceded that faith in the truth, 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14. Just saying my understanding on this matter.
I would say that sanctification is taught a little different by each Christian who believes in it. For some it is taught as an instantaneous experience,some would teach it as a lifelong experience, and others as a point in the Christians life.
There is good fruit to be desired that comes out from the experience of the Sanctification of the Spirit, even though there is a variety of methods that teach how it is acquired.
Interesting scripture, thanks for sharing, I will have to chew on that for a while!
