My eyes were open by God Holy Spirit to the Biblical truths concerning the doctrines of grace long before I heard of Calvinism.

I didn’t know He came for sins!
I read He came down, He came and took, He came and stood, He came out, He came and told,…
But does the Scripture state Jesus came for our sins?

Many times.
I was mistaken in believing what I was taught in Independent Baptist churches growing up, my friend...
It was basically a system of "how to get saved", and it involved the "Romans Road" and a select list of very persuasively delivered ( and often times out-of-context ) bits and pieces of His word.
