With you its about misunderstanding the fundamentals of your faith. Please explain Gods battle commands to Israel in the O.T.It's called "following". It's about being a Christian, living out your faith.
Please explain Gods direct commands to annihilate enemies including women, children and babies.Au contraire, I read and understand the Old through the lens of the New. You might want to give that a try.
I guess God meant it figuratively. You know ?Please explain Gods direct commands to annihilate enemies including women, children and babies.
You understand nothing.
Care to actually give a sensible answer?
Whereas apparently* you worship one who butchers children. As a father, one of the things I do for my children is to protect them from people and things which can harm them...which includes the (false, as i think it) imago Dei conjured up by you.I guess God meant it figuratively. You know ?
Remember, Matt thinks God lies about himself in the OT, and has stated that there is more than one way to atone for sin. The God Matt worships is not a jealous or angry God.
I'm asking you to define the term 'nation'. It's a honest question which you seem incapable of answering. Why would anybody bother to answer such a stupid question? Movin' on.

You further demonstrate your complete ignorance of scripture.A literal interpretation of those Scriptures requires painting God as the inciter of murder and genocide, which is both blasphemous and inconsistent with the NT. Hence the requirement to read the OT through the lens of the New to avoid getting unstuck in that way.
You have made no case.I rest my case
He worships a god of his own design.I guess God meant it figuratively. You know ?

I have no problem with you saying I worship a different God than you do.Whereas apparently* you worship one who butchers children. As a father, one of the things I do for my children is to protect them from people and things which can harm them...which includes the (false, as i think it) imago Dei conjured up by you.
[*ETA: if I have misunderstood your position, I would be delighted to be corrected.]
As a father, the best thing you could do for your kids is ding The God of The Bible and teach them His ways.Whereas apparently* you worship one who butchers children. As a father, one of the things I do for my children is to protect them from people and things which can harm them...which includes the (false, as i think it) imago Dei conjured up by you.

Explain whyYou further demonstrate your complete ignorance of scripture.
I said he couldn't answer the question. He hasn't. QEDYou have made no case.
