"Calvinism" isn't a "religion" at all. It is just a sotieriological theory on how God monergistically saves those that cannot save themselves.
Its definitely a world view . We should be troubled how people are viewing the bible through a certain set of glasses . I find it strange that calvnists criticise Catholics for viewing the bible through a certain set of glasses . But are seemingly not aware of how any system or theory should not be the basis of understanding the bible .

:Roflmao You need to borrow a mirror and see your own set of glasses.

God Flicks the Switch, or no light comes on.

God Does Not 'offer' to Flick the Switch and wait for the dead light bulb to 'accept the gift', or not.

God Receives All Glory, for Time and Eternity, for The Triune Godhead's One Covenant of Grace and the Work of The Son in The Plan of Salvation for His Chosen Elect children.

Truthfully irresistable grace is only true for those who have already received God's Gift of salvation.

Otherwise, Titus 2:11, Acts of the Apostles 7:51.

Jesus Came to Seek and to Save that which is lost.

An individual soul has to be lost before they can be Saved.

No soul Comes to Jesus, unless the Father Draws them with Irresistible Eternally Giving Grace.

The lost are dead in trespasses and sins.

"You will not".

Here are the “elect” ...
  • [Mat 24:22, 24, 31 NASB] 22 "Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. ...
  • 24 "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. ...
31 "And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

  • [Mar 13:20, 22, 27 NASB] 20 "Unless the Lord had shortened [those] days, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days. ...
  • 22 for false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will show signs and wonders, in order to lead astray, if possible, the elect. ...
  • 27 "And then He will send forth the angels, and will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest end of the earth to the farthest end of heaven.
  • [Luk 18:7 NASB] 7 now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them?

  • [Rom 8:33 NASB] 33 Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who justifies;
What might even suggest to anyone that the “elect” include the unsaved enemies of God?

So just how is it you believe you are elect? What is in scripture that says you are elect? Are you just guessing you are elect or did God tell you that you are.
The Jews are elect the Bible says so. Where does GOD say Gentiles are elect?

Oh excuse me I had no idea that you are Jewish.

To the illiterate, the interpretation of, "Immanuel", is given in Matthew 1, because they think a Bible Book was Written only to Jews.

Otherwise, why give the interpretation?
