Obviously, I can read. Really man??
Come on
I thought you implied it when you said
however, being drunk is a sin
just before. However, I obviously misinterpreted what you said and I apologize.

The Puritans used to mix fermented apple cider into their milk (killed germs) and give it to their children. In the US (at least some States) a child can be given alcohol by their parents without it being illegal.Don 't Kids younger then that drink wine in both Italy and France as a norm?
The sons of Aaron were forbidden to drink wine before they went into the tabernacle
Anyone taking the Nazerite vow was forbidden to drink wine ior strong drink, but for anyone who thinks it is then OK to drink grape juice, read Numbers 6:1-4 , all of it.
David Kent, I read the entire chapter, can you help me understand something? As you said, the Nazirite stops consuming wine AND grape juice, but at the end of the passage there is a ceremony that just removes the prohibition on wine. (v. 20 "...and after that the Nazarite may drink wine.")anyone who thinks it is then OK to drink grape juice, read Numbers 6:1-4 , all of it.
No. It is, however wrong to get drunk. By the way buzzed is drunk.
Thus sayeth the anonymous prophet Revmitchel - being given special revelation from God.
A friend told me a story about his youth. The Puritans used to mix fermented apple cider into their milk (killed germs) and give it to their children. In the US (at least some States) a child can be given alcohol by their parents without it being illegal.
He is definitely not sinning by drinking, but the hiding of it is actually being deceptive.Personally, I gave up drinking before I was saved, as I got drunk easily, a sure sign of susceptibility to alcoholism.
But if I did still drink, I'd never do it in fronta any outsider, as it might lead someone to think it was all right, even though their conscience said no.
I know another Christian who has weakened kidney function, whose Dr. told him to drink one beer daily for improved kidney health. He gets his beer from an outlet where no one knows him, & disposes of the cans from a black plastic bag at a local aluminum recycler for cash. He makes sure no one else but his wife sees him using beer, for the same reasons I gave above.
Do I think he's sinning ? OF COURSE NOT !
He drinx his beer for medicinal purposes, not to get high.
Yuengling is 3.3% and I got tore up from the floor up on it a few times, back in the day.I drink, very lightly. The beer I typically buy is very sweet and only has about a 3% alcohol content. Not even enough to give me a buzz. I just like it for the taste.
However, my mother is very against alcohol. I'm 26, so I don't have any obligation to 'obey' her in that area, but I do keep my alcohol out of the house for her. I keep my stash at a friend's house, sometimes have one when I'm eating lunch over there.

I cook quite often with beer. Mickey's malt liquor is my preference. The alcohol cooks out. I really dont care who sees me buy it.
Is it wrong for a Christian to drink alcohol?
My problem is hiding it to avoid the appearance of evil is an active act of deceit.Personal choice to not give the appearance of evil. "Each, according to the dictates of one's conscience."
