The man of sin/antichrist, will come from Rome/Europe. He is the leader of the final form of the final beast empire spoken of by Daniel. which will be defeated by Christ himself.

 

Its not the pope. the pope will resist the beast. and will himself need to be destroyed, If anything, the pople may be the false prophet. but I doubt it is even this.

 

That's just a point that we have been debating for several years. You have your reasons for your beliefs and I have my reasons for mine. For the point of this discussion, we agree that Putin is definitely not the Beast of Revelation.
