This headcovering thing can also be a badge of a false piety. See how religious I am and you are not? It is like saying, I pray and fast more than do you. When, in fact, we ought to pray in secret, in our closet, with God, and not on display.
Jim, This is true, but are you judging or just making a coment? Not accusing you, just asking you to ask yourself here. The reason is because I feel at some point we are all guilty of this and yes even you as I read some of your posts, come across as, "because I do not or do this or put on the air of how religious I am and just how much smarter than you I am."

Do you mean to do it, I am going to say, I do not believe so. But if you and I would be honest much of what is written in this BB is "See how religious I am and you are not?" I do not care what side of the issue we are on, that is what most times come out.

I sorry this is off topic, but in a way it is not off topic in the general sense.

Folks, we’re not under the law, but under grace…..
VERY well said!

I must tell you that I wear slacks, makeup, jewelry and have short hair and yet I ALSO have people treat me with great respect in public, approach me asking for prayer (Dollar Store worker not long ago, Wal-Mart employee, etc.) and people apologize for crude words. Certainly my clothes and haircut don't make me stand out...

And as extreme positions and language come into play, this thread gets stopped in its tracks.

Enough. :(
