In that case it should go back to the Jebusites then!

There's no logic to any of these arguments. People should be free to live where they want on land they've paid a fair price for in an arm's length transaction between a willing buyer and a willing seller; anything else is theft.

God Gave Israel the land in question. Though they sinned, though they were exiled, as He always did in the past; He returned them to the land He gave them.

Someone is coming to take care of business.

Matthew 23
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

How do you feel about our embassy being moved ?

I see Musilim rage coming.

2 good thing will come out of this: Israel will get the respect they deserve, and protesting muslims (and some leftists) will be exposed as the anti-Semites they are. I mean really. You're violently protesting because America acknowledges Jerusalem as Israel's capital? It borders on mental illness.

Yes, that's an interesting slant that I've come across before, to which can be added that the Ashkenazi Jews who form such a large part of post-1948 Israeli stock have as much if not more in common genetically with the Turkic Khazars as they do with OT Israelites...

It's much more of a muddle than many would like it to be...

If you are talking about the Babylonian Exile then, sure, I'd agree: the prophecies surrounding it are laced with hints of restoration. Not so though the Scriptural predictions of the destruction of the Second Temple in 70AD: Jesus in particular offers no crumbs of comfort when He points forward to that event; there's no scintilla of hope of future return. It's The End. No coincidence that the Church arises in the same generation and assumes the mantle and promises as the new spiritual Israel; the qahal becomes the ekklesia.

I would think Christians would be all for making Jerusalem the Capital of Israel. Who did God give that land to? Israel!
There is no longer any special significance for Israel. That was true under God's first covenant with man in which the Jews were his favored nation. The second and final covenant was given to us by the ministry, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. As Paul said in GAL 3:

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

The Jews will be saved in exactly the same way the Gentiles are by Grace through Faith and a personal life-changing relationship with Christ.

You're not right about this, but even if you believe this, why can't you just respect a nation's sovereignty allow them to determine their own capital?

Sure, as long as we are talking about the Palestinian Authority as well.
