Works salvation, front loaded or back loaded is still works salvation...and false.

Good thing Macarthur doesn't believe in works salvation. Of course, the Laodicean doctrine pushed by his opponents, which pushes a weak, unchanging gospel, is certainly false.

Again, MAKE YOUR OWN THREAD. The next person to address Lordship Salvation, instead of the OP, needs to be reported to the Mods. Let us keep it on point, people.

A few years ago I spoke with probably one of the top experts on Mormonism. She told me the reason why people are joining the Mormon church is because they do not know their Bible. She said that if people knew their Bible they would never join the Mormon church.

If people knew the God of the bible they would not run to but run away from. John 10:5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice. John reiterates this in 1 John 2:19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.

Yes I have, depending on what you mean by his "back yard".
The city he lives in.

I know many who have graduated from his seminary and I find that everyone I know lacked the ability to know anything more than what the seminary believed when they first graduated. While he develops good pastoral pastors they seem to lack theologically in the beginning until they get more experience.

I agree. Apparently Osteen is getting a lot of followers in Houston who do not know their Bible.

good stuff... or should i say? God stuff....

:love2:

I meant to say, "Romanism is the greatest weapon in his (Satan's) arsenal to counter true biblical Christian faith. But i'm sure everyone understood anyways.

I've been reading 'Foxe's Book of Martyrs' again and am astounded at the depths of depravity of the Whorish 'church' Thank God for those faithful believers, empowered by God's Spirit, that stood firm against it's might! Praise God for their witness to the truth of God's Word!!

It certainly is not my intent to sabotage the thread or stray from the origional subject (which already has been done) But in light of the lenghty discussion on Lordship Salvation I do have a question.Thirty years ago I participated in D James Kennedys Evangelism Explosion and if I remember correctly Lordship was a distinct part of the "You will". I do definitely believe that Christ will be Lord in your life. Although Grace has been distorted and cheapened today it is still the number one ingredient in Salvation. You will follow Christ in baptizm and definitely make him Lord.Question; Is EE a Lordship Salvation program?

The thread is about JMac speaking out against false doctrine. I think the inclusion of LS as a false doctrine JMac adheres to is on topic. You can say he doesn't believe in a works salvation, but his very own words blur the line to what he actually believes. Don't speak for the man, let him speak for himself.

God's grace is not the equivalent of salvation. Salvation is in Jesus Christ.

I find it disturbing to even think of Christ as Lord in America when so few in the U.S. even have a clue what that means experientially. When talking with Christians from countries where there is persecution they can hardly believe the discussions we have. It has been my experience that so many give lip service to believing the Bible in evangelical churches in America. When one reads the gospels where are the pastors leading their people to do the work of ministry outside of the church building like Jesus did? Very little time, money, energy, and building expenses are devoted to discipleship and evangelism teaching people to live the Christian life in the world.
