I believe it was the Virginian Patrick Henry who said "Give me Liberty or Give me Death".

Four more years of Obama and there will be rigid limits on our liberty, particularly those of the Christian Faith, and the 15 member Death Panel under Obamacare that will be empowered to pass the sentence of Death on many, with limited resources, who are on Medicare.

Sarah Palin early on warned about the death panel and was severely lambasted by the leftist media. Turns out she was right!

Old Regular--

Indeed, it was Patrick Henry who spoke those words. Not to derail this thread, but I wonder how many people know that those words were spoken in a church meeting house?

St. John Episcopal Church in Richmond, VA. If you ever get a chance to visit Richmond, the church offers guided tours of its auditorium where the exact spot where he stood is marked out. Well worth the time if anyone who's interested on how our forefathers didn't believe that any political activity shouldn't be allowed in a church meeting house.

OK, back to the death panels.

Not the philosophical problem the statement raises. Every person is most always free. One can choose liberty or death. The ability to choose is the ultimate choice.

While I certainly want this President out I do not believe it is going to happen as I believe we are getting what we deserve (reaping and sowing). Second while I want Obama care repealed its legalization has already done the damage in opening another pathway to strip away more liberties down the road by the government. Third there is no death panel under Obamacare. That is an outright lie that the conservative base has lodged to increase a false fears and anger. Sadly they have decided to play the same smear game as those they oppose. This is the real reason we are in the mess we are in. The loss of doing right and fighting evil with evil.

Sarah Palin? Now there is an upstanding moral individual! Why should anything she says be believed? Her household is in disarray and her own life does not fit her claims. The best thing the right could do is RUN from her, not point or support her. Simply put she is baggage.

Bill that is not true. If death is needed then the person is not free to exercise the liberty they should have. Death either makes a statement or puts an end to the tyranny in that individuals life, but they never get to live under liberty through death. Free to die to excape tyranny is not freedom.

There are no death panels under the ACA provisions. This was a ridiculous argument made by an idiot of a political figure in the RNC to, believe it or not, scare people into disliking a legislative piece of a Democratic President.

Agreed although I am not agreeing they are an idiot because of Mat 5:22. All the rest is correct as Sarah Palin I think was one of the first to make the false claim about death panels so I am glad you are correcting it.

James 3:1-10
1. My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
2. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
3. Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
4. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
5. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
6. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
7. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
8. But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
9. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
10. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

You are wrong! There is a 15 member board that will set standards for medical care.

It is false to refer to Obama as a "Democratic" president. This man has the arrogant mentality of a Fascist and has exhibited that mentality more than once!

I know I'm sounding like a broken record. Shut it for those of you in agreement.

But this is what I meant about we lose our witness. What right do we have now to speak to folks about death panels while saying that there is a condition underneath which we will support someone who worships a false god?

Is it more important that we come out against death panels or that we preach that Jesus Christ as He presents Himself in His Holy word is the only way?

Upon what moral grounds do we take a stance against these panels but not idolatry?

This authors mucho confusion to the world.

This is a PDF of the bill. Please download it and show us where the death panels are in the legislation.

Since you claim they are in the bill you should be able to easily find them and tell us where they are using specific citations. Thanks and we'll all await your reply.

They write these things to be vague for a reason. The way this bill is written, no one defined what "rationing" of healthcare means and thus the panel could just about choose to do whatever it wants.

Very dangerous.

The problem is not the board but calling is a death squad. Have you even thought about it? 15 people could not possible evaluate every medical case in the US. They could not even evaluate 1 percent of those who are critical and old as there is just not enough time in a day. Their job is not a death squad as some have falsely reported so to refer to them as such is simply a lie.

About the President yes he is a radical Marxist that has socialist tendencies, but remember many who are Christians help put him in office.
You and the rest need to read about the truth and stop passing on this lie.
