While what you say is correct, it relates to the topic about as much as stating that "cows moooooo"!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Our bluegrass friend has to detract from his position on the issues plus he is upset that the GOP projects a 348 to 190 win for Trump along with a 5 to 8 seat pickup in the House to take over there and a gain of at least 1 seat in the Senate to augment the majority while the Dems are going to lose even more local and state races and hopefully go out of business for moral reasons.

you have to either vote Biden or throw your vote away on a quixotic minor candidate.

No. I could vote for Trump(not an impossibility, much to my surprise). Long way to go until the election and a lot of different thoughts will go through my brain between now and November 3. Also, Arkansas is a lock for Trump so my vote is basically meaningless for the Electoral College, even if I vote for Trump.

No. You couldn't be more wrong about that, too.

I think you make too much of politics....

I think this sums up the problem. What you really mean is, anything goes politically. A professing Christians can be affirm the worst most murderous obscene policies imaginable, and it doesn't matter. He can still be in good standing, even lead a Church. I think this confusion has destroyed many churches.

The left destroys everything it touches. How foolish we think it won't destroy the Church.

That is not correct. Supporting, say, racism, is certainly to be off-limits to any Christian, whether it is government policy or personal.

The GOP has moral stances on the issues since 1856. I have no idea where the Libertarians stand morally and everyone knows the Democrats have become amoral with Biden/Harris.

That's it? No other standards? They can support killing 60 millions unborn babies, so long it's diverse?

Why do you lump and judge people as a group? Don’t you believe, as I do, that we should judge people as individuals?

“From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.” - 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:16-19‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Okay, then do you believe one can vote for the modern democrat party and still be qualified to pastor a church?

Since votes are done in private, there is no way to know how someone votes unless they tell it.

I couldn’t care less how my preacher votes and have no interest in knowing. I refuse to consider worldly, secular politics to be on the same level as my relationship with Christ. I urge you to do the same.

Boy are you dodging. This is irrelevant. It matters only what they say publicly. If one states publicly, he supports the modern democrat party (abortion, etc.), is he qualified to run a church? Or is it only blatant racism that disqualifies?

Only Christ is qualified to run HIS church.

You think there is a difference between the two major political parties. I don’t. All I see are two blatantly worldly, secular organizations who both think they can replace God’s government from the Garden of Eden, as all political parties do. Frankly, I think a preacher is better off if he stays totally out of politics:

“No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him. - ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:4‬ ‭ESV‬‬
