Discerning marxism to be detrimental to society has nothing to do with loving the person who supports marxism. I can decry the ideology, yet love the person espousing that ideology.

The issue is that unregenerate people will always serve themselves. It does not matter their political position.
Knowing this truth, both elite political parties are run by and guided by godless, unregenerate sinners who are working to set themselves upon the throne and control others.
Trying to lift political party above family relationship as children of God (Christian) is a wicked thing. Would you condemn your brother and sister while lifting up your political party as that which separates you and they from the body of Christ? May God forbid that his children are divided by a petty, worldly, temporal issue. What you are doing here should be viewed as shameful. We, as children of God, are one family and we must accept this truth and live with it in community. To seek division is to fight against God's will.

You'll find most of their arguments to be strawman arguments. This is due to a poor sense of logic, hence most won't know what a strawman is and so will simply reply "No, it's not."
