How does a Baptist believe Dan 9:25 is history as of 70AD?
I am not sure I understand the question.
Danial 9:25-26, ". . . Know therefore and understand,
that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince
shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof
shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. . . ."
I understand it is a propphecy that after the Messiah had died, the rebuilt Temple will be destoryed. And that distruction of the rebuilt temple did happend in 70AD as an evidence that the Messiah had actually alread came. And we know Him to be our Lord Jesus Christ.
Attempts have been made to use it to the calculate the year of the crucifixion. But none of those proposed calculations that I have seen or done give 30AD as the year.
Now there are other matters to this prophecy too.
