The sinner's prayer (which I never use) does present Christ and the gospel. The Rosary repetitive emphasis is on Mary not Christ.

I have driven the I-5 in California listening to the Catholic Radio station while they pray the rosary and do their repetitive hail Mary's - It is pathetic!

You were listening to Catholic radio? That's quite a revelation. The Lord works in mysterious ways there B!

I see... The Lord's prayer taught to us by Jesus can only be said once, else it's vain repetition. Right...

It easily falls into that, with a congregation mumbling, unaware of the power of that prayer. Best to break that prayer down, understand those words, and understand what Jesus is saying...pray in this manner, not these words...

Hmmm... Got any verses of Jesus giving an alter call,
or having a wednesday night prayer meeting, or using the word Trinity, or using the phrase hypostatic union?

pluuueeezzze!

That is silly. Of course, he called people out of the crowds, to worship him on their faces. Absolutely.

And the meeting guidlines are outlined in the New Testament.

And I never heard of no hypostatic union, and don't like unions in the first place, and don't care to know who or what they are.
Well, let's see... Jesus taught us the Lord's prayer and that's part of the rosary. Does that count? Oh wait. Your church doesn't say the Lord's prayer because that would be vain repetition.

An apt description of your statements here.

As no one knows what Mary or Jesus looked like the apparitions are as misleading as the illustrations on most Sunday School material. Fooling children carries a specific curse from Jesus. Don't know about fooling adults.

Westminister Man is merely doing what politicians and liberal theologions do when their positions are wrong but they are not willing to admit it. They simply attempt to try to divide and conqueor those opposing them, mock, ridicule and blather about nothiing worthwhile or substantial while nitpicking anything they can to distract.

A very common tactic when one lacks substance.

No, I just trust in the preservation of God's word, complete in sevral great American translations.

And I saw your snoozie guy...When I was a kid, I saw people fall asleep praying the rosary..

Vain repetition.

I didn't say that. I was correcting the quote. It wasn't "...saying the rosary" it was "...praying the rosary." big diff.

WM

But praying the rosary doesn't bring salvation any more than saying it does. It doesn't make ANY difference - any more than saying the ABCs.

Well ... You've yet to prove that. I can easily say the same about your verbose pomposity.

You call it nit picking... I call it fact checking. As always, I'll be glad to engage you in an honest discussion. However, you'll need to lose that attitude as it really has no place in the realm of intellectual discourse.

Let'r rip Bibli.

Do you think that praying for someone's salvation is of no import to God? Tell that to the multitude of mothers who have done that very thing. Tell that to the mother of St. Augustine who prayed for 30 years for the salvation of her son. Surely you don't deny the efficacious nature of prayer. If so then why even bother.

Does me praying for my daughter's salvation save her? I didn't know that!! I'll start praying for the salvation of everyone in the world so that all will be saved!! I didn't realize it was that easy!!

But of course I jest. Praying that someone else would come to salvation does not save anyone. Was it the mother of St. Augustine who saved her son? Or was it Jesus Christ?

So... I take it by your statement that you think only American translations preserve God's word. I guess the throws out the good old KJV. I don't necessarily disagree.

And I saw your snoozie guy...When I was a kid, I saw people fall asleep praying the rosary..

Vain repetition.

Can you communicate in cogent sentences? What you saw as a child contributes nothing to the discussion. So, if you have a point, then please by all means... make it or stop wasting everyone's time.

If you have nothing better to do with your time, then I understand that TBN needs more viewers. I believe Jim Baker has a new show.

Well then, why waste your time doing it? For that matter, stop it all together. God is going to do what he wants regardless of our supplications so stop praying for healings, or for the safety of loved ones, for an end to abortions, for peace on Earth, or for any graces from God.

You know, I think I'll pray for you. Don't worry... It won't do any good anyway.

I love the KJV. But no, I did not mean the word of God is only preserved in English. I think you may have made a jump, there, buddy.

And you accuse others of "verbose pomposity".

Did you address the Virgin of Guadalupe, yet, and I missed it ?

Show me the Scripture that says that praying for someone saves them.
