Another example in the ongoing series of "I surround myself with the best people".
------

Melania Trump’s highly anticipated speech at the Republican National Convention Monday night appears to have nearly copied a paragraph From Michelle Obama’s speech at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump’s wife was describing how her parents imparted on her values about working hard and treating people with respect.

-------

Ironic that the part she copied was about honor and integrity, no?
(Yes I know someone "wrote" Melania's speech for her.)

Prediction: Donald will blame the media.

Why am I not surprised. There appears to be no honesty in his campaign or in his life. It is a shame he uses his wife in an unethical manner. Plagiarize, remember all the trouble this has causes others. I doubt Trump supporters will care a whit. In fact, they will defend him and her. Her speech writer must have know what he/she was doing, but knew that to Trump's supporters such dishonesty will meaning nothing.
He speech writers get an "F for cheating. If they had been honest she would have hit a home run. Her delivery was great. It is a shame her effort was torpedoed by her speech writers. I feel sorry for her.

Now for her defenders, if her plagiarism was all right, why did the GOP howl and kill Biden's campaign in 1987 over an alleged plagiarism?

Obama: Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values...

Trump: My parents impressed on me the values...

Obama: ...like: you work hard for what you want in life...

Trump: ...that you work hard for what you want in life.

Obama: ...that your word is your bond, that you do what you say you’re gonna do...

Trump: ...that your word is your bond, and you do what you say...

Obama: ...that you treat people with dignity and respect...

Trump: ...that you treat people with respect...

Obama: ...because we want our children and all children in this nation to know...

Trump: ...because we want our children in this nation to know...

Obama: ...the only limits on the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams...

Trump: ...that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams...

Obama: ...and your willingness to work hard for them.

Trump: ...and your willingness to work for them.

Yes I know someone "wrote" Melania's speech for her.

And most likely someone wrote Michelle Obama's speech also. Obama's remarks were written by Sarah Hurwitz for the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Oh, did I miss the part, where Mrs. Trump said "For the first time in my life, I am proud to be an Americian"

Oops. Melania is claiming she wrote the speech herself. I wonder how they are going to walk this one back. LOL.

Seems like a pretty generic sentiment that most everyone believes. If this is all the dems have to complain about Trump will be just fine. Afterall, look at the alternative....crooked team Hillary.

So, if say, Joe Lieberman were running against Trump, you would be condemning plaigerism, but since it's crooked Hillary, plaigerism is OK?

Melania told Matt Lauer that she wrote "most" of the speech.

So in 2008, Michelle read a speech written for her by Sarah Hurwitz, and Melania borrowed a few lines. Scandalous!

The real difference between the similar passages is that Melania was being honest and Michelle was lying through her teeth.

Ah yes, "You're Lying", the Carpro 'go to' rebuttal.

Do you even realize how often you use that?

Just goes to show you the amateur hour that is known as the Trump campaign. Someone should have vetted this speech. Maybe someone did. They failed.

This kind of incompetence is going to get smothered by the Clinton machine. Thank you Trump primary voters for ruining the GOP.

"For the first time in my adult life, I am really proud of my country..."

Michelle Obama, a golden recipient of affirmative action.
