New Gospel Tract- The Atheist Test

Doesn't scripture say that God so loved the world that He gave His only son; that through Him, we might be saved? Is that not Jesus loving us? Isn't that the message on the tracts you pass out?
Doesn't Jesus love us so much that He sacrificed Himself on the cross for us?
So what I said was NOT unscriptural. If it is, then you probably need to re-look ar the tracts you're handing out.
My message doesn't stop at "Jesus loves you and has a message for you"; that's why I also add "Happy to tell you more," so they can hear more about WHY we need a savior.
Your problem is with method, not message. I didn't describe the way YOU think it should be done, so you immediately went negative and didn't even think to ask for more clarification from me. Give that some thought.
Jesus had great compassion on people. The Bible says so. The crowd that followed him for three days was "like sheep with no shepherd". Jesus had compassion on the and began teaching them many things - so says the Bible.
To dismiss the love of God for someone while presenting the gospel to them is a false gospel. The gospel is that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Why? Because God so loved the world.....well, you know.
Actually preaching a message not emphasizing sin and repentance is a false gospel. Telling people that God loves them and completing missing the truth about Hell and sin and repentance and faith is a false gospel.
God has a general love for the world but a special love for the elect.
This thread has gone way OT. Let's chat about reaching atheists.
You seem to be doing the opposite...Hell and Sin, without love.
Who said anything about omitting sin and repentance?
You are the only one who is talking about leaving out anything. The rest of us include sin when talking to others about God's love for us and his salvation from sin.
This type of attitude is partly why I began to doubt the Calvinist way of thinking.

I don't recall where the bible describes "Friendship evangelism", of course not that I am against having a testimony and using our friendships with others at a platform for preaching the Gospel.
In Acts you see quite a few encounters where the person being confronted is a stranger to the preacher.
It is the word of God that saves people, whether that's given out in a tract, preached open air, shared in a conversation one on one.
Romans 10 tells us faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Getting out the word any way we can will help to evangelize the lost, but the point Is that the word has to be given out to the lost.

I will remind you that much of the New Testament was given through the written word. God blesses the printing and distributing of his word..
In person, open air, and through tracts.
Doctors are also paid to do a job. Money is a good motivator, too.
I am just curious about those who seem to be against tracts.
When is the last time you actually presented the Gospel to someone in a one on one situation?
You people seem to paint picture that if someone hands out tracts, it means they can't also share the gospel in person through friendships or that they don't do any discipleship.
For example, I use Gospel tracts, I love Gospel tracts, I have written a few of my one, I hand them out at drive throughs, and I leave tracts with good tips. I also give out John and Romans booklets as well. In addition to that, I recently wrote a letter to a couple I work for and gave them some scripture verses with a tract, Yesterday afternoon I had an evangelistic bible study session with my grandmother, I frequently will give out tracts to my mom's friends she brings around and give them tracts too, I also go door to door and I have shared the gospel through mouth countless times at people's doors, I have witnessed to friends over facebook chat and presented the Gospel that way, even seeing some professions. Just because a person uses tracts doesn't mean they don't also talk to people or do any kind of discipleship.
And trust me, I agree, tracts cannot replace a spirit filled and caring confrontational presentation of the Gospel with someone. But you know what, Tracts can be a way for a new believer to share their faith, Tracts can be a tiny seed sown in someone's heart to prepare them for a person to person conversation, and sometimes believe it or not, tracts lead someone to the Lord.
Please stop with these Straw Man fallacies about people who give out Gospel tracts.

What does that have to do with sharing the love of God? I shared the gospel with several young men peddling Mormonism in my community [over different times as they go 2 by 2] They were all strangers to me. I had a one-shot encounter with them. First I shared that God loved them very much and that his son, Jesus, is the only salvation from sin and hell. I shared scriptures with them proving us sinful and scriptures that Jesus only saves. I showed them friendship and God's love and pointed them to their own lost condition and to Christ.
I can't imagine that they would have even listened to me had I approached them with no compassion.
