I am in Florida.
We had a Red Wave.
We had a Republican Candidate that WE believed in.

What we didn’t have is a deep-state, tinfoil hat, conversation about massive voter fraud that keeps turning up all smoke and no fire when actually investigated.

What we did not have is a rererendum on “SHOULD TRUMP BE PRESIDENT”.

Every place that made this election about 2020 and Donald Trump and tin-foil hat conspiracies discovered that most people “just don’t care”!

I could have told you that. I held my nose and voted for Trump in two General Elections and ZERO PRIMARIES! His only claim to fame was not being worse than Hillary Clinton. Some of the Trump policies were good, but all of the TRUMP DRAMA was bad for the party and the nation. Time to move on and let the mediocre dinosaurs fade away and turn into oil or coal.
Thanks for the comment.

I agree. The time to move on was the day state legislatures certified their results and sent electors to congress.

I was impressed with the whole Florida election cycle. Very well done. It is the model for moving forward for repubs.

I am absolutely sickened by Trump and those that support him attacking DeSantis. I think he, and the die hard supporters that will never vote for anyone else, are going to find exactly what you said to be true. It is time to move on. Thank you for your service. Just stay home.

peace to you

According to the blind conservative pundits out there all that is needed in the next election to win is hard work, more likable candidates, more door knocking, and an early Get Out The Vote plan.

They just don’t get it.

Some day they will. Until then they are dangerous people.

Maggie Hassan had an amazing night on Tuesday. The unpopular Democrat Senator routed her Republican opponent. She had such a good night that she won 1,100 votes in a community with a population under 700.

It was another Democrat miracle!

Granite Glok reported:

We’ve got something for you if you’re looking for irregularities in your local elections. Columbia, New Hampshire. It’s way up north. A tiny little town that, according to the 2020 US Census, had 695 residents. But according to the Secretary of State, Maggie Hassan received 1,106 votes from the same town.

Don Bolduc had 193 votes.

The State Website reports Columbia, NH, had 735 residents in 2019. Columbia, NH’s website says the population in 2010 was 798. Wikipedia cites a decline based on the 2020 census to 695.

How were over 1300 votes cast in a town with a population under 700 at least and under 800 at best?

Someone up there might want to request the same-day registration list. Your town doubled in size overnight.

Local officials are now calling this a “glitch” and they corrected it locally. But the number is still being reported in the totals.

Being a Democrat has its perks.

Thanks for the comment. These are the kind of facts that help “prove” something.

Sec of State says it’s a typo. It was 106, not 1106. It has been corrected.

Hassan won by 57,000 votes. Unless more evidence comes forward, you can say she won by 56,000 votes.

As far as the advice of “blind conservatives”, that seems to have a better chance of success than saying voting doesn’t matter anymore.

I think it is God turning over our nation to exactly what the nation wants. Gonna have to have a real bad, and hard fall before we wake out of this nightmare.

Agree 100% with you. Judgment is coming very soon.

“Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices” (Proverbs 1:31) KJV.

Just toured American Thinker & Ace of Spades. Same conversations going on there as here (gotta read the comments). Here’s an example:

The McFailure Plan to Kneecap Trump [Dave in Fla]
—Open Blogger
Last Saturday, Rich Baris put out the following tweet, when the DeSanctimonius controversy started:

Baris_Tweet.JPG

Last night, he further expanded on what is going on, while waiting for Arizona results that never came.

The "Plan" that was hatched by the McFailure wing of the GOP was to offer the nomination to DeSantis. The GOP would provide funding, support, and a clear path to the nomination. If DeSantis declined the offer, the second choice is Glenn Youngkin.

By not fighting for seats in the House and Senate, they wanted to reduce the number of MAGA Trump supporters in their chambers, and they assumed that the political environment of the moment would allow them to still gain both chambers, but blame the "disappointing" results on Trump.

What Trump has been doing with the personal insults to DeSantis and Youngkin, is to let them know that he will go after them personally if they accept the offer from Team McFailure. He wants them to remember what happened to "Low T", "Lying Ted", and "Little Marco".

I don't want to get into the Trump/DeSantis wars (though I know this is going to spark them). I tend to agree with Ace, I am worn out by Trump the Insult Attack Dog. But I think everyone should be aware of what is really going on, and not think that Trump has lost his mind.

[Edit - I am not saying that either DeSantis or Youngkin have accepted the offers]

This is just silly.

The “Mcfailure team” doesn’t own the repub nomination. They can’t “give it” to anyone. Whoever wins it will earn it.

Bottom line, Trump attacked DeSantis just before the election. DeSantis won by nearly 20 points.

Trump looks petty, self absorbed and desperate for attention. He has hurt himself by this attack.

DeSantis looks strong, confident and Presidential. He is a WINNER! DeSantis will win so much people will say, “please we are tired of winning….”

And this “prediction” may well suffer the same fate as the one of a “RED TSUNAMI”!
Frankly, Trump is the only one who is bucking the establishment - (R & D) - & while I cannot stand to hear him bragging on himself etc., I’ll still take him over the devil inspired ESTABLISHMENT!

The failure by the Republicans to sell the voting public why they were the better choice. And why the Democrates were an on going threat to our to our nation.

Thanks for the comment.

Is it “messaging” or do the repubs not really have a plan substantially different from the Dems?

Seems to me that possibly this "trait" is becoming more substantial every day.
Hate to admit it, or maybe I'm just slow to catch on, but 'pears to me the RINO population is growing.

I wonder… if the moderate repubs control the party, wouldn’t that make the conservative bsse repubs the RINO’s?

The issue is people (sheeple) of either party will cry "the election was stolen" if their party doesn't win.

We can talk about the economy, but to be fair people are not experiencing dire circumstances with either party (excluding the COVID issues). The "economy" issue is just groups forecasting economic disaster should the other party win.

The Dems can cry "Trump", but that is just creating fear to get votes. Trump support and a potential bid for the Presidency only works for the Dems (not necessarily due to Trump himself, but that is where we are now).

Then you have the overturn of Roe vs Wade - which is a good thing....but a good that had the potential to isolate Republicans (at least some of the 30 to 40% that were pro-choice, depending on their priorities) from the GOP.

Thanks for the comment. I disagree about the economy. It is bad at the consumer level, not just debating among economists.

The repubs failed to link the bad economy to Dem policies. My son was complaining about prices, groceries and gas. He kept blaming it on “corporate greed”.

The Dems did a much better job of defining the issues.

We always complain about price increases. I'm not sure how these increases compare with wage increases.

In Jan 2010 the average cost of gas was $2.77 a gallon. In Jan 2022 it was $3.41.

I'm not sure that increase reflects an economy out of control. But I agree that we do have inflation and the economy could do better (it was actually better under Trump, but Presidents do not an economy make).

You are right that the Dems did better defining issues. But last election they did not.

Did you know that VP Pence has written a book?

'Seeds Were Sown'

this book is about the 6 Jan situation
Would you purchase this book?
The name of the book is “So Help Me God”. The statement “seeds were sown” refers to the day Trump decided to listen to Giuliani and Powell for election advice and put them in charge of the challenge.

The story is interesting. I like Pence and would buy the book.

He doesn’t really have a chance, imo, for the nomination. He has the very real problem of being disliked by both Trump supporters and Trump opponents. He would remind moderates of Trump and Jan 6. He would remind Trump supporters of the loss in 2020 and “failure to stop the steal”.

It is clear Repubs underperformed Nov 8. Dems will claim victory, perhaps even keeping the Senate.

What realistically explains this results? Please give your thoughts. If you believe “cheating” occurred, give specific examples and how it effected the results.

Does this result spell the end of Trump’s second run, before it officially starts?

peace to you

Republicans have mastered on the day voting turn out , but democrats have been using universal mail in ballots, where people have been harvesting easy ballots for people not bothered to show up on the day.
Either get rid of the new universal mail in ballots system or start harvesting ballots yourselves.
Every democrat mother will be getting 18 + year old kids to fill out the ballots at home. The brainless and uninformed that would never bother to show up to vote are now swaying elections.
Postal votes should be limited to absentees who can not be there on the day.
