Glad to see you've recovered from your "accident," and are back to posting insults.
Shame on you for feeding us the line about your recent "change of heart." And shame on us for believing that you were doing anything other than trying to play those on the BB with whom you disagree. I doubt you ever had a change of heart...and to be honest, I'm not so sure that your whole accident/epiphany/whatever wasn't a complete fabrication.
There are several fairly liberal BB members on here with whom I often disagree...but very few (if any) of them would stoop so low as to concoct the story you did...just to try and "score some points."
By the way...have you thanked a hateful, warmonging serviceman lately for defending your right to engage in such talk, and such deception?

Thank you, I have recovered, as much as I will without shoulder replacement surgery, which I probably will not have.

I did not say nothing about our military personal. You exgerate so much it makes you a liar. You say I may not have had an accident and then you accuse me of concocting a story. You are the one who is lying.
Do you believe it is good to be a war-monger? Does being in the military make one a war-monger? I would not think so. There job is to keep the peace, but I guess anyone who disagrees with you is subject to being accused of most anything.
One thing I've learned in the past few years is there are a lot of naive people in this world, and many of them live in this country.
I sincerely wish the nuclear weapon had never been made in the first place. The ability to kill huge numbers of people in one pop is a horrible thing. However, pandora's box has been opened. Just as when gunpowder came around, you can't put it back in the box people. It's too late. We can dream about a nuclear free world if we want to, but it is simply not going to happen. Open your eyes. We live in a wicked world, a world lead about by the prince of the power of the air, the ruler of the darkness of this world, Satan. That's why there's never been peace and never will be peace until the Prince of Peace returns to judge this world and cast Satan into everlasting fire. Jesus said there would be wars and rumors of wars, and that's exactly what we have. The nuclear weapon is here to stay. Nukes vs. terrorists
War has become assymetrical and I can guarantee you that we can put the strangle hold on any country on the globe if required, without the use of nukes.
Our threat today is homeland terrorist attacks and attacks of American assets in other countries (soft targets).
I am very proud of Obama and quite suprised at the international and battlefield understanding of our chief. He understands the situation and he is arming America for the future wars we will fight.
With our technology, believe me, we have so many ways to kill our fellow human beings that nukes are actually an outdated and very heavy to maintain as far as keeping them in full working order.
Should we keep a certain amount? Absolutely, as long as other countries have nukes we must have nukes, but remember numbers don't mean anything when you can kill a country many times over. Our focus today is defense against incoming missiles not only short range for countries like Israel who are prime candidates for idiots like Iran and long range non-explosive missiles which kill simply by kinetic energy. These are already deployed and its no secret.
Our biggest problem is now intel whether from the sky, the drones or the actual infiltrators (who really risk life and limb to obtain information on targetting terrorist leaders). We already have an overload of incoming sensor information that is now being solved with more powerful computer systems to automate things like watching highways coming out of Mexico with cameras and using the same software used for years in casinos to ID known criminals, drug traffickers or terrorists by taking pictures of everybody inside the car as they pass these cameras. Go to the Department of Transportation and do a search for cameras and homeland security and you will find what I'm talking about.
The Bible was always very clear to Israel to remain strong militarily to stop their enemies and that applies to us today. A lot of people would do away with all our weapons. That would actually be nice, but you cannot do it on a one sided basis especially when your enemy is willing to use commercial airlines as huge cruise missiles.
By the way, I am now an engineer working in the Joint Munitions command of the Army. My job is safety of ammunition from its storage sites to its tactical sites and back again. This requires a good overall knowledge of everything we have, so don't worry about how many nukes we have compared to Russia's. If we were to exchange missiles, we would both have overkill and even these treaties don't bring this down low enough to prevent all out catastrophie. The positive side is that we have to start somewhere and each time we come to the tables we are lowering the threat of a nuclear warhead getting into the hands of a terrorist, which is our biggest threat today. We don't need to worry about incoming missiles, we need to worry about who is going to get a warhead onto US soil and set it off in a highly populated area, or strategic military base.
Don't lay your gun down until you confirm your enemy has already laid his down and with terrorists on the rampage, that is unlikely in the near future and it may take a tactical nuclear threat to make Iran and North Korea see the light---that is their only method of understanding and you must negotiate with them the way they think, not the way WE think.

It aggravates me when people make Jesus into a peace loving hippie. Jesus was not a liberal. He was not a conservative either. Jesus was and is the Son of God. Jesus didn't get into politics, He cared nothing for that arena. Jesus didn't get into money either, He cared absolutely nothing for earthly gain. Jesus was all about serving the Father. The same man that told Peter to put his sword up again because all they who take the sword shall perish with the sword also said He wasn't come to bring peace but a sword, to set man at odds with each other, the daughter against the mother, etc.

Keep in mind our history. We had folks protesting for us not to get into WWII. Many of them believed we were wrong after WWII was over. I had a college professor who blamed most of WWII on the US.
I recall folks saying better red than dead and marching for us not to get into the Korean war or action.

For the time and culture he lived in Jesus was a radical liberal. He surely was not a conservative else the Pharasees, the conservative fundamentalists of that day, would not have disliked him so much.
1. He talked to the Samaritan woman at the well. Not something a conservative would ever do at that time.
2. He defended the women taken in adultry. A consertative at that time would have helped stone her.

Jesus was and is still far ahead of society in his liberal ideas on how we are to treat others and how we are to live our lives.
