No sir! It may have been debunked in your mind, but that's all.

Actually it has been completely debunked. It is just rhetoric to soothe the conscience for supporting a pro-abortion President.

You just can't help yourself can you. Bush is not in office, and the last trillion dollar spending bill has nothing to do with Bush. That is on Obama.

I don't see many people defending Bush's spending and condemning Obama's. Most of us thinking people oppose both.

Why do you hate conservatives so much? Does Jesus approve of this behavior?
I don't hate conservatives. I hate their twisted ideas and the harm they are doing not only to the country but also to the church. Jesus would support my beliefs because He said "Love thy enemies." Do you love your enemies?

Do you love the unborn ? Does Jesus support your habit of disappearing when challenged ?

And I do believe you hate conservatives, if you didn't, you wouldn't lie about them.

I don't hate conservatives.
That's not really credible, but whatever.

First, you don't hate what they do to the church more than I do. However, you have yet to show that the ideas are twisted. I think if we compare ideas side by side, the conservative ideas are far more viable and far more helpful to people than liberal ideas.

Jesus would support my beliefs because He said "Love thy enemies."
I don't think loving your enemies is what you are doing here.

Do you love your enemies?
Of course.

That sizes it up just about right... According to this article, Republican's will need to focus more because the Dems are out spending them. Of course, the Republican has more earmarks for less money so I guess we can call him conservative...

I guess I was wrong, the House was toped by the Senate where two Republican's lead the pack. I guess the conservatives are not the most conservative after all. What I don't understand is why the Republican's load their earmarks in the bill then vote against it? Obviously they hope the Democrats will pass the bill so they will still get their money. It just seems hypocritical to boast of your record of voting against spending while the truth is you got the most pork from the bill...

I guess they wouldn't get you guys votes if they voted for the bill so they have to deceive you like this...

The Senate leaders, however, did not rank at the top of the chamber in terms of earmarks in the omnibus. The two Republican senators from Mississippi, Thad Cochran , a member of the Appropriations Committee, and Roger Wicker , had the most Senate earmarks. They were followed by Democrats Mary L. Landrieu of Louisiana and Tom Harkin of Iowa.

The top House earmark recipient was Mazie K. Hirono , D-Hawaii, who secured $128.7 million in earmarks, most of them in coordination with, Inouye whose chairmanship gave him clout to win the projects.

Ron Paul , R-Texas, who touted his fiscal conservatism in his bid for the GOP presidential nomination last year, was the top House Republican earmark recipient in the omnibus. Paul, who routinely votes against spending measures, got $73.7 million in earmarks, according to Taxpayers for Common Sense.

Steve Ellis, the vice president of Taxpayers for Common Sense, cautioned that lawmakers such as House Defense Appropriations Chairman John P. Murtha , D-Pa., who usually get the most earmarks did not rank as high on the omnibus because it does not include the Defense appropriations measure that Congress passed last year.

Well, you can thank Bush for most of the problems, but I guess when a republican spends it's alright with you. Why do you hate liberals so much? Does Jesus approve of this behavior?

You can't go blaming me, because I didn't vote for Bush. He didn't get my vote in neither 2000 nor 2004. Its not my fault that the Republican Party keeps putting second rate, wanna-be, straddling the fence, conservatives as their front runner.

I don't hate liberals. I just hate what they stand for (or sometimes what they won't take a stand for). There's a big difference. I can disagree with what someone says & hate what they do. That doesn't mean I hate that person.

Just so you know, I'll tell you exactly what I hate: Gun Control, Abortion, Homosexuality, Being dependant on the government, Taxes, The U.N., Illegal Immigration, & Big Government where they control every aspect of your life. I don't think Jesus would have a problem with that.

Part of life is making decisions. Should I walk carefully? Should I run carelessly? Should I wear bright orange when I go hunting? Should I wear red to a bull fight?

Part of freedom is making those decisions & taking responsibilty for them. Using freedom in your decision making may result in success or failure. You have to take the good with the bad.

I have never claimed sole possession of God's will. Please show me where I did that?

I cannot find where you claimed sole possession of God's Will, so that is duly noted here.

To all: Please do not make personal attacks. And....we need to get back on topic. Thanks.

Don't show what? That I hate what politics is doing to the church? I have taken a lot of heat for that over the years because I refuse to entangle the church in politics.

09/22/2008 Obama was against earmarks.

There are quite a few of Obama's campaign statements where he promised to go through budgets line by line against earmarks. Hannity just played some video clips. Obama's campaign promises about earmarks certainly ring hollow.

But of course, some of us knew he was saying anyting to get elected. And it worked.

Last night, I was watching Hannity & he played numerous excerpts with Obama stating that he would go "line by line" to eliminate earmarks. Why he's not planning to do it this time, I don't know.

My question is, why are these earmarks being put into this bill anyways? Why do they have to put all of those pet projects into it? Surely, the Senate & House know that we are up against tough times. Why would they go & spend more money like this?

Democrats are on a spending spree. It's similar to a feeding frenzy by sharks or being addicted to drugs.

They are all taken in by the insanity of the moment and are intoxicated by their power.

Rehab won't comne until their addiction has run it's course or they are thrown in jail by the public to detox.

I ask each of you, McCain said he would veto every piece of pork that came across his desk. Keep in mind that our president doesn't have a line item veto and every bill contains some pork. Wouldn't we have a non-functioning government if he were to veto all pork? This means no legislation would be signed into law.

As president and having to make decisions based on the greater good, don't you agree that means approving some pork if the legislation contains a greater good?

President Barack Obama will break a campaign pledge and sign a budget bill laden with millions in lawmakers' pet projects, administration officials said.

Administration budget chief Peter Orszag and White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel both downplayed the $410 billion spending bill and signaled Obama would hold his nose and sign it. Orszag said: "We want to just move on. Let's get this bill done, get it into law and move forward.

Said Emanuel: "That's last year's business."

The House last week passed the measure that would keep the government running through Sept. 30, when the federal budget year ends. Taxpayers for Common Sense, a watchdog group, identified almost 8,600 specially sponsored projects totaling $7.7 billion; Democrats say the number is $3.8 billion.
