The advantage of the NKJV is it identifies where the KJV differs from the majority text (M) or critical text (NU).
The major advatage of the KJV are two. The KJV mostly follows the common reading of the Greek texts. And you do not have to know and look up the Hebrew or Greek to know if a pronoun is plural or singular. Ye you and your are always plural and thee, thou, thy and thine are singular.
