Palin's prayer remark angers former staffers

No, just me. I've been known to do that you know.

Known to do what? Make stuff up?

Really man, we can all read here.

You said - in direct response to LadyEagle - "So now you're saying that right wing Republicans will all be raptured but no Democrats will? That someone has to be a Republican to be a Christian?"

Don't compound your offense by denying it.

Just own up to it. Say you're sorry and try to do better next time.

As has been noted many times earlier, both JC and LB either have reading comprehension problems, seriously need a vision check-up, or purposely distort others posts to suit their (LB & JC) agenda.

Since they both have been called on this problem so much, I tend to think it's a -------VISION PROBLEM!!!

(Betcha thought I was gonna say something else, didn't-cha??;) )

What is so terrible about her wanting someone to pray with? The premise of this article is nothing but another smear job. Come on Crabby, you can do better than this petty none sense. Then again, I'm not surprised.

This isn't about Palin looking for someone to pray with. It's about her refusing to pray with people. Why would a true Christian do that? In her case I assume it was all about politics.

Christ said to go into the world and preach his gospel. Where does he say to associate with unbelievers ?

How are you certain these people are unbelievers. And by the way, the real Jesus associated with unbelievers, prostitutes, tax collectors, etc. I'll follow His lead not yours.

Show me where Jesus prayed with unbelievers.

Oh wait, I forgot who I was talking to.

I'll follow the bible, and not your liberal spin, thank you.

A Bible drilled, spirit filled, Christ thrilled believer would not join hands with the unregenerate. Read your bible.

This thread was nothing more than a libbie "gotcha", and they have failed to answer a single challenge. The best they could do was change words around.

Pathetic.

LeBuick, I know that I have said this many times - sorry to repeat myself... but you really must work on that reading comprehension.

Palin did not say that "no one was worthy of praying with her".

You are wrong - wrong - wrong.

Go back to the article and try reading it again.

How do you spell "I couldn't find anyone"? Now I know there were people there. It was the VP debates. And in every crowd is at least one Christian. So was it she couldn't find anyone or she couldn't find anyone worthy?

Maybe there wasn't anyone "worthy". I want to know who I am praying with. If I am going to stand hand-in-hand with someone to pray together that implies we are in solidarity and in agreement. I will pray FOR an unbeliever, I will pray FOR a family in crisis regardless of their beliefs, but if I am to pray WITH someone we better be singing out of the same hymnal, so to speak.

I would pray with you LeBuick. From everything I have read of yours, I have no doubt that you are blood-bought, justified, sanctified and full of the Holy Ghost. Now say that we are fixing to pray and some young feller in a $700 suit walks up and says, "I would like to pray with you." I would want to know a little more about this feller before we go approaching Almighty God in Jesus name! What if he's one of them folks that calls God Father on Sunday and lives like an orphan the rest of the week? Wouldn't you want to know where his heart was? Wouldn't you want to know - as a minimum - that his understanding of Jesus Christ was the same as yours?

I spent 13 years pastoring in a mainline denomination. I could count on one hand the number of colleagues I would pray WITH. That's a sobering thought when you're in a room with hundreds - to use your wording that were not worthy - who were awfully religious but had no relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Had this been a pastor quoted here we would admire him for his wisdom.

You are the one reading "worthy" into "I couldn't find anyone".

Perhaps she couldn't find anyone that she was "comfortable" with.

Or perhaps she couldn't find anyone that "shared her concerns".

Or perhaps she wanted to pray for a reversal of Roe V Wade and she couldn't find anyone that would pray for that with her.

Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps. So, you are just making these up. Pure speculation without a shred of supporting evidence.

Well, a "PERHAPS" is a heck of a lot more intellectually honest that claiming that the phrase "I couldn't find anyone to pray with" is the same as "UNWORTHY"

JC said: " In her case I assume it was all about politics" (So assumptions are OK?)

LB said: "I didn't say she made a spectacle, she said no one was worthy of praying with her." (A Bald Faced lie)

So who is really doing the speculating? HMMMMMMMMMM???

Yes - perhaps.

The guy making the speculation without a shred of supporting evidence is your buddy that says the she "couldn't find anyone worthy" to pray with.

Try reading all of the posts to the thread before offering worthless and pointless criticism.

On what are you basing your conclusions. Let;s see the hard evidence.

If you have been following this thread (rather than drive-by commenting), then you know where the only conclusion I stated came from; if you haven't, then you'll have to dig out the proof yourself.

Who cares what Palin did.

I agree, I'm not sure why I even took the bait on this one. She has a large following which makes her every word news worthy. Like Obama and his special Olympics comment, sometimes it doesn't come out exactly as intended.
