standing, by your own admission you are lost, 1Jo 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Do you know what it means to not have the truth in you? It means you are a liar and what does the Bible say about liars?
Rev 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

He can't answer the question because he knows he's wrong and his pride won't let him admit it.

I just want to make something clear on my part, I have read things on here where some people think they are sinless or at least thats how they are interpreted.

I would never in a million years claim I am sinless or anywhere near it.

In fact the more I behold Jesus in His perfection the more my own sinfulness is revealed to me and the more I see that needs correcting.

And so just making that clear...

I in no way believe I am sinless... that would be absolutely absurd and anyone who makes a claim to sinlessness is completely ignorant of just how perfect Jesus and the Law are. And they have no concept of what sin is... In fact I think the closer you get to God the less you will feel like parading around your "goodness".

Isa:6:5: Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

I would still like the question answered from any Baptist.

We will all, everyone of us, die with unconfessed sin.

We sin without even knowing it. We may be incorrect and think something is fine that is a sin.

So what if you were to die before all sinfulness is revealed to you? Would you not have unrepented unconfessed sin?

go read the post I made with the red in it... about having a clear conscience before God.

God isnt a legalist. He wants our hearts and love and loyalty.

the answer is NO.

No Rebels allowed in Heaven and having a clear conscience before God. Not all the winding up to the highest degree of legalism that you can manage to muster. Thats not what its all about, and till some of you get that concept you're going to be spinning round and round this thing till the end of forever.

I sure hope and pray that you will accept Jesus as your Savior before you die... If not, your works are going to send you to Hell. If you do not trust FULLY in His finished work on Calvary, you are heading down the wide path to Hell along with every other false religion in the world that depends on works. Please ask God to show you how to trust Christ fully.

That may seem harsh, but I feel it is my duty to warn you or your eternal destiny if you continue to trust in your works.

And SFIC, why don't you answer the question about if you die with unconfessed sin in your life, will you go to Hell... At least the SDA did.

Are you afraid? SFIC, are you Baptist or SDA?

tim,

Why don't you answer the question...

If God shows you through me or another Believer in the Word of God that something in your life is sin and you reject is and keep on sinning, will you go to heaven?

So, relativism. It does not matter if I have sin only that my conscience is clear. So my salvation depends on how my conscience deals with sins. Somebody who feels guilt about swearing is not saved but the person who has a clear conscience even though he/she (insert sin) is saved.

How about:

We are saved by faith in the Lord Jesus only. When we are already saved our faith will cause us to do His works and follow His laws, but we will never be perfict on this earth. Meaning when we die we will still be sinners and law breakers, but saved anyway because salvation is by faith not works.

I IN NO WAY trust in my own works for salvation, I dont know how many thousands of times I need to say that. You completely misunderstand when you accuse me of that.

I dont know if your wifes late husband is a believer or not and neither do you. What I do know is that if sin keeps us out of heaven then not one of us will make it.

You are prideful, yet I believe you can be forgiven and make it to heaven.

I am not justifing sin. I am stating what the Bible says the Jesus' death overcame sin and we can be forgiven. Not one of us will be sinless on our own when we die.

You just dont think your sins are as bad as others. Maybe you think they are better hidden.

My wife's late husband professed a Christian for the 20 years they were married, yet he remained a drunkard and eventually died from acute ethanol toxicity.

Why did he die a drunkard? Because of bleeding heart liberals telling him he didn't have to deny self, take up his cross and follow Christ and he would still make it to heaven. He died because he believed the lie that he could continue in sin since he professed Christ and was baptized and went to church all those years.

He died because folks like you candy coat sin.

you know what the problem is? it seems as if all of you have no real concept of what it means to do good works just plain because you love God!

You cannot conceive of that, and so you always have to try and make someone out to be doing it to somehow earn merit or to "work their way to heaven" ...

I dont know how many times or ways I can say that I dont believe in doing good works to earn your way to heaven, it cannot be done. it is impossible.

Are you saying that you need to be shown in the Bible that what you are doing is sin to be judged for it? That is not true, even if nobody shows you what you are doing is sin you will be judged for it unless washed in the blood.

So your question should read

If you keep sinning will you go to heaven?

SFiC. Please answer you ammended question

you guys just do not get it at all.

Jn:14:15: "If you love Me, keep My commandments".

1Jn:2:4: He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

you worry about getting to know God, and when you know Him you will love Him and when you love Him you will obey Him...

Its just that simple.

....all the way every minute trusting in the atoning blood of Jesus alone...

thats what I mean about knowing how to walk and chew gum at the same time, its like you guys arent able to multi-task...

--and the solution is not to just toss out the parts you dont like... either.

What? Shall we continue in sin that grace may about ? God forbid! How shall we that are dead to sin continue any longer therein.

It is not I cheapening the Blood of the Lord, it is you when you claim a drunkard and a murderer are in heaven.

You are in direct contradiction to God's Holy Word.

Charlie is a believer now, but it is too late. He is believing from hell.

You dont know one way or the other and it is inappropriate for you to make that judgement.

I am sure you dont like the guy but your attitude toward him is sinful.
