I do not believe people of God will be cast into the lake of fire.

Jesus told Nicodemus that 'he that hath the Son hath life; he that hath not the Son hath not life.' The wrath of Godis upon those who do not have the Son, the children of disobedience.

I do not see the verse speaking of true believers going to the lake of fire... although once they get there, they will be true believers for it will be a reality to them at that time.

Revelation 21
7: He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8: But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Up topic (before) there was a person said that a person who was
a murderer and gets saved isn't still a murderer. Such a person can
enter heaven. King David was such a person, though a murder AT ONE TIME,
he will be in heaven (and then is NOT a murderer).

Again, verse 7 does NOT say
"He that overcometh not shall not inherit all hings.

It is presumptious and arrogant of you to deny that they broke the commandments when the Word of God declared them to have no truth in them.

Are you like the new agers who want to completely do away with sin and judgment?
Your personal attacks are uncalled for and are now under review.
Apart from that, you fail to answer the question, and instead simply attack the messenger.
Did Sapphira "tempt the Spirit of the Lord"?
Is it possible for a believer to tempt the Holy Spirit?
On that basis alone is it not possible for Sapphira (and Annias) to be believers?
No red herrings please.

But Ed!

come on now....

If the first verse says he that OVERCOMES SHALL __________

then the next following verse says BUT THE FEARFUL, MURDERERS, ETC.. SHALL____________

then there are ONLY TWO groups you can fall under! right? :0) so you're either an overcomer or you are a non overcomer, which of course would be the liars, murderers and all of those... and we are told where they go

Where do you find a "true" believer being thrown into the Lake of Fire?

But you speak of the 99.
Jesus talks about the 100th sheep?

Mat 18:11-14 (KJV1611 Edition):
For the sonne of man is come to saue that which was lost.
12 How thinke yee? If a man haue an hundred sheepe,
and one of them be gone astray,
doth he not leaue the ninetie and nine,
and goeth into the mountaines, and seeketh that which is gone astray?

13 And if so be that he find it,
Uerily I say vnto you,
hee reioyceth more of that sheepe,
then of the ninetie and nine which went not astray.
14 Euen so, it is not the will of your father
which is in heauen, that one of these little ones should perish.

You attacked me first with the accusation of being presumptious and arrogant. You did not like the message and so you attacked the messenger. If the board deems it necessary to ban me indefinitely, or for any length of time, then they should ban you as well. You attacked me first.

(snicker) and DITW told me to "grow up"...

there's a difference between saying someone's presumptuous and questioning someone's salvation.

BTW, I tried using, "But he started it!" in 4th grade. Didn't work then either. I got a whuppin. Deserved it, too.

Let me break it down for you.

Ananias and Sapphira lied to the Holy Ghost.
The command not to lie is one of the Ten Commandments
Jesus said we are to keep His commandments
John said if we don't keep His commandments the truth is not in us.
Ananias and Sapphira did not keep His commandments.

The truth was not in them. They revealed to Peter their true nature, their greed. It kept them out of heaven.

I can say, from personal experience, that ignoring the warning (a very kind thing to do, by the way) makes for a very unhappy ride.

You make an assumption. The assumption is that it is possible to keep all his commandments.
Do you keep ALL His commandments? Have you never failed? Not even once? Can we assume then that you are perfect. If not then would you accept the same punishment as Annanias and Sappira?

//Standing, let me wade in here. I have been away from this board because my blood pressure was getting too high :<) Let me ask you some questions. 1. You made the statement that a "christian" can not go insane. Eight years ago my wife had a simple operation done at the hospital and there was an accident. Her heart stopped and she was given CPR. However it was a period of time before they got things going again. She suffered brain damage. She doesn't know who she is or who I am or our children. We still love her and take care of her at home with us. She is still my wife with her mind or without it. She was/is a preachers wife. She loved the Lord and had a wonderful testimomy. My question to you is this, did Susie lose her salvation?
2. If a Christion goes for a drive and is speeding (breaking the law) and then hits a tree, do they go to hell.//

Amen, Brother Shiloh -- Preach it!

Brother Shiloh shows that strict literal interperation of
every verse you can find soon gets shattered when comparted
to reality. The Nature of God is not that He is a tricky fellow who
does stupid things at random - the True God is totally predictable
and is always JUST tempered with LOVE - always, not usually, not
frequently but ALWAYS THE SAME.

Amen, Brother DeafPosttrib -- Preach it!

Why would you look up to such a Jesus if
they were weak ONCE when their child is being tortured
and denied Christ ONCE and that Jesus throws them into
the Devils hell to roast eternally?

Matthew 24:13 (KJV1611 Edition):
But he that shall endure vnto the end,
the same shall be saued.

Is a logical argument of the form:
A. If a person endures unto the end,
Then that person shall be saved at the end.

This statement is true (it is proved by Matthew 24:13
and other scriptures).

There is another logical statement that has
the same truth value as statement A above.

B. If a person is not saved at the end,
Then then that person did not endure unto the end.

So the argument B is TRUE just because
the argument A is TRUE.

But there is a third type of argument that
does NOT automatically have the same truth value
as argument A. Argument C must be proved, even
though statement A and statement B are correct.

C. If a person endures not unto the end,
Then that person shall not be saved at the end.

Feel free to prove argument C from the Bible, if you can.
To say that argument A and argument C mean the
same thing is a LOGICAL ERROR.Note to those ignorant (don't know) about logic:
the preceeding logic principles are examples of
logic (a branch of Mathematics) facts. They are NOT
debatable (they probably can be explained better).
Also, argument C is NOT proved neither True nor False by the
logical facts presented above.

amen, Brother Ed, you sure said that well!
