We tend to be critical of the public education system for it's lack of focus with respect to math and sciences. But equal to that is the lack of focus in reading comprehension and simple word meaning.

By extension the ability to understand history is compromised by the lack of critical thinking skills and reading comprehension but I doubt in any case that the public schools would ever teach historical events from a christian perspective. But your point is well taken.
