thanks, I agree. I know it is hard as an "outsider" to comment of another countries internal affairs. I have never understood why free-for-all health care is not seen as a good thing for American conservatives? As a conservative myself, I think that it affordable, it is a great thing.

TERRIBLE IDEA

you say that. I am long term sick, with multiple health issues that require a lot of medications. If I did not get them free, I know that I could not afford to buy them, and would without any doubt, be dead long ago! I have some friends living in India, where they also pay for their medication, and they cannot afford it, and many times have to miss taking important medication, so that they can buy food to eat instead! This is real life!

Ok this is going to sound heartless, just because it is good for you doesn't mean it is good for the whole country. Why should I have to pay for your healthcare?

I am just ONE example! There are millions who are very sick, even right in the USA! Free healthcare is not FREE because it is paid for by ALL through the tax system. You should look at things as Jesus would have done, Who always helped those who were the LOWEST class, those who you and I would probably shun!

Yes, and he gave out of a heart of giving, not because the government coerced them and made decisions on spending for us.

With socialized medicine, your likely to have very long wait times. Might die waiting to get treated. Then they may just not treat your deadly condition, death panels. One good thing, I think you cant sue for millions, has to go to arbitration, and you might get a few thousand dollars. There was controversy in England about older people go to hospital, and doctors assigned them the Liverpool protocol, where they decide your life is not worth living, so then against your will, withhold food, water, they inject you with so much narcotics, and you simply die.
Hey it is so practical but like cruelly inhumane torture.

there are always sad cases around. However, I have had very good treatment myself for the many years that I have been sick, and I am not young!

Tell that to folks in Canada, under socialized medicine, and seem to always come here for major surgeries, as cannot get them approved in Canada!

My story, Obamacare saved me thousands of dollars per year, BUT I am a fairly healthy person who does not make a lot of money, so I pay $zero per month for health insurance, BUT I also sign up for plans where my max out of pocket per individual is over $6000 per year, over $12000 per family, it is just me and the wife. I view it as catastrophe medical insurance. I am signed up with a BlueCross plan, so they often negotiate down with providers the price I have to pay. Before OCare, I was paying about $400 per month, but my deductibles very very low. My current plan, I can go to a local healthcare clinic like Patient First for $25 per visit, so not so bad.

It really is like this, if your not making a large income and your real healthy, Ocare will save you a small fortune, but otherwise, it is a bad experience to your wallet.
Since lots of people are very ill and go to doctor and hospital a lot, and make more income, there costs for the same care are way way higher than ours.

Now here I am at 61, and I think will be forced onto medicare at what 65? and then my costs will rise a lot more.

Just think that the Fed Govt always does a worse job then private business can do when allowed!

Why not instead have Congress repeal interstate act, and allow say various states BlueCross compete against each other?
