Trump made it clear he was running against the media, which was too stupid (until too late) to understand what was going on. Trump declared war, not the media.

Not really. He just stated the obvious and decided not to take it lying down.

Good move on his part. It helped get him elected.

Ooh, that hurts. I'm bleeding here. Someone get a tourniquet.

I know quite a bit, but obviously I am not the equal of The Great Rippon, The All-Wise, The All-Knowing (just ask him, eh?)

And your foundation is the Sayings of Chairman Donald? What a joke. Except it's not funny.

No, he declared war and the media thought it was just the typical Republican meme, which got votes but meant nothing. He meant it. So the media responded. The fact that he was elected doesn't change the fact that he is a serial liar and self-aggrandizer who has no idea how to be president of what is (briefly) the most powerful nation on Earth.

I believe your memory is selective. But I'll leave it at that and just agree to disagree.

I won't even respond to the rest of your hateful diatribe.

It started before the primary race got going full speed ahead.
I remember the talking heads "NO WAY WILL DONALD TRUMP WIN THE NOMINATION MUCH LESS THE PRESIDENCY!!

HankD

And that's declaring war? Most people, even Trump supporters, thought the same thing. Expressing an opinion about whether someone can be elected is not "declaring war."

It's a sad day when calling a spade a spade is considered hateful. I guess the Trumpinistas have gone over to the politically correct crowd and you can't make a criticism without being called a hater. Birds of a feather, I guess.

Funny how Trumpies like to call people snowflakes but when they are challenged they melt.

In your opinion, that's what you were doing. In my opinion, it was something else entirely.

You can barely contain yourself. You need to get a grip before it eats you alive.

Barely contain myself? You must not have been reading the postings here for the past many years. This is mild compared to what folks have have posted, smug in the self-righteousness born of knowing that you will not called on your opinions because they'd be called liberals, Marxists, etc. PC on the right wing..

I'm fine. Not eaten up by the fool in the White House. The Republic has survived before, and it will again. I just don't think we need to go through this without commenting on it.

Don't be infantile. You're beginning to sound like DHK.

You do know quite a bit, yet in this realm you have proven that you don't possess the knowledge, historical facts and mature reflection that you have in other areas.

Wrong again. With all their fake stories and their coordinated attacks on Trump, he was fully entitled to announce that he was at war with the MSM. They started the war --not him.
President Trump's biggest "crime" - he fights back.

The progressives can't handle it.

Matt, it's not ad hominem. Contrary to what passes for popular belief, Trump's current situation does not parallel the Nixon case. You could make the same statement if I or another member from this side of the pond pontificated on British politics.
The parallels are developing. This is a White House where it is one wor ruing scandal after another virtually daily. And, Keith, with all due respect, it is ad hominem to basically say that someone is ignorant because you don't agree with their observation (although worse has been dished out to others since then on this thread). And I don't see why geography should bar you or I from commenting on each other's country's politics. Far from being an Ignorant Limey, I majored in college on American history, in particular one Richard Milhous Nixon...

He is potentially obstructing justice with the firing of the FBI Directory in charge of investigating him. This is not, no matter how much you may wish to dream it, a partisan issue. Republicans are now growing tired of this Presidents actions and are demanding answers and information.

I would agree that all out war has been declared by both sides.

Personally I find it difficult to side with those who support a murder regime (abortion, euthanasia and eugenics).

Answers will come and you may be surprised who wears the orange suits.

Who is it that exposed our secrets on a server for all the world to hack and for whom the FBI Director gave a "get-out-of-jail" free card.

She isn't our President so lets move on from her ok? The American people correctly chose not to elect her. Unfortunately most Americans vote out of fear or vote the lesser of two evils and so we are stuck with this bad binary election system.
