“However, Moore told Blitzer: "Romans:13 does not mean any law of government is a good law or just law.
"It means the governing authorities are put into place for a reason.
"And the reason is that to commend that which is good and punish that which is evil," he said.
"It is hard to imagine children clinging to their parents in a difficult time is evil.
"I think, surely as Americans, we can do better than this when it comes to vulnerable children who need their parents," Moore said.”

First, I do not think you care one iota about children of criminal parents; whether it be illegal immigrants on our Southern border or the parents who spend their food and rent money on drugs and allow their children to go hungry or homeless. You are more interested in a cheap political shot. You are a political opportunist.
The Alien Transfer Exit Program began under President Obama. I know, I know. Facts are stubborn things and they have a way of shooting holes in your already sinking boat. As far as children being separated from their parents because of breaking the law by illegally entering our Southern border, consider this:
"This year, the
Border Patrol reported 486,651 apprehensions nationwide, compared to 420,789 last year; the increase is largely attributable to the influx in
unaccompanied children and family units in South Texas last summer. While Border Patrol apprehensions of Mexican nationals in FY 2014 decreased by 14 percent from FY 2013, apprehensions of individuals from countries other than Mexico, predominately from Central America, increased by 68 percent." (
Enforcement Efforts at and Between Points of Entry)
You remember the tsunami of unaccompanied children at our Southern border in 2014, right? Parents intentionally sent their children to cross the border because of Obama's weak stance on immigration and because the GOP controlled congress was threatening a crackdown on illegal immigration. Where was the concern about the safety of these poor vulnerable children when their parents put them into the hands of immoral coyotes? Many of those children were treated horribly by their "protectors". Many died before making it to the border. Where was your outrage at the Obama administration then? Please, show me, so I do not have to accuse you of feigned outrage.
Your hack opening post aside, I will address the issue. The federal government does not have the ability to offer concierge service to those individuals who try to enter our country illegally. We do provide them with food, shelter, and medical care. What is happening at our Southern border is a crisis, not just an inconvenience. Children are separated from their parents because their parents are suspected criminals. This happens every day in our justice system. You go rob a liquor store and see whether the police will throw you in jail and separate you from your children. Should the federal government seek to improve its response to the immigration crisis? Yes. In 2014 the Southern Baptist Convention provided charitable services to detainees until they were processed. This was a great opportunity to minister physically and spiritually to illegal immigrants. I am in favor of allowing private relief agencies to provide care and services to detainees with the understanding that they are still criminals who have broken the law. The federal government should move to process these cases as fast as possible so they can either be granted legal entry into the United States (if warranted) or deported back to their country of origin. But it is a massive undertaking with no simple resolution except enforcing the law. Are you calling for these parents not to break the law by trying to enter our country illegally? Are you holding them responsible for what is happening to their children? If not, then your outrage is contrived.
