Race Mixing in Marriage

Jailminister, are you meaning to tell me that you believe that after the flood, there were more than just Noah and his family left on the earth?

The Bible says that Adam and Eve were created, and yet there were people when they left the Garden. Science says there is evidence of humans evolving from lower animals. Does anyone believe BOTH the Bible and science?

Science is wrong on this matter as the theory of evolution is false. It is an unproven theory and will always remain so as a false theory cannot be proven true.

Uhh, that would be me, and probably quite a few others.

But we're getting off the topic here. The topic is race mixing in marriage. The Bible neither condemns nor requires mixed race marriage. The NT is practically color blind to race, caring only about whether one is in Christ or not.

Okay, we're getting WAAAYYYY off topic here. Can we please get back to the race (or lack thereof) issue? The points on the topic are valid, and I for one prefer to encourage people to abandon any racial prejudice they may harbor by way of discussion here.

If some people were not created, but evolved from lower animals at the direction of Satan, would they have souls? And would they be properly treated the same as the nations/tribes created by God?

Assuming that all people were created by God, and are of one blood, then I see no problem with interracial marriage.

Yes, but that is off topic.

There really is not a such thing as race. As JohnV has already pointed out so well, whether you take Genesis literally or not, we can all be traced back to a single genetic line. The slight adaptations by separated people is quite insignificant. Here is a recent scientific article backing up that you cannot genetically separate people into races.

What three races, please? All three sons of Noah begat groups of various melanin colors and physical traits, so I am curious where you draw the conclusion of 'three races,' and what separates them?

This thread is getting wierd, thank you, and I don't like the direction it's going. Sounds like a troll to me.

It should be terminated.

I have to say I am really shocked that this topic keeps coming up - we are ALL descended from Noah and "Mrs Noah." All the traits of all the "races" must have been genetically encoded into them. There is no justification for prohibiting marriage between any two believers.

Honest debate is fine and is to be encouraged. Only each poster knows his own heart. If there is a heart of racism that is sin.

Dr Bob, I ask the question about the races on purpose because of the topic. We all are taught many things and some are wrong, yet those teachings we recieved in err stay with us and make up who we are. It is the truth that sets us free. There are many things that we can not answer and many things that we accept as truth but are not. There may have been souless humanoids before God breathe life into Adam, but it is not important because our souls are from God thru Adam. Noah may have had 3 different wives(1 wife for each child then they would pass away and he would find a new wife), but that is not important at all because it was not revealed to us by scripture. We all have the same earthly begining, but that is not important, either. The only thing that is important is the fact, if we are a child of God. When we marry outside of the family of God, then that is where the problem comes from. Examine your own heart and realize that we are all, black, white, red, yellow, brown, etc., just dirt balls and we only become anything when we are born again. That is our separation line. I believe all 3 major races existed at the time of Noah, but it made NO difference. All except 8, died. God is not a respector of persons. He looks upon the heart as we should also.

Can marriage be prohibited between two unbelievers, regardless of race?

From the site Jailminister linked to.
"The most significant difference between these races is: -
(a) language
(b) hair and facial features
(c) skin colour."

Umm.. Since when is language a racial thing?
