Well I'm sure there are other schools and businesses that run perfectly fine with Macs on their WIFI network. The problem is the way you have set things up, its not Apples fault.

So you are troubleshooting Don's wireless network installation based on....what, Apple's reputation? Seriously, the only thing that is at fault here is Apple's insistence that their devices should use Apple products and Apple software. There's nothing mysterious about connecting to a wireless network, it's just that Apple makes it difficult for non-Apple routers.
186 GB's which also includes movies and TV shows.
Oh for the love of the rabbit this is wrong! I have non-apple routers in the home and they work just fine.
Yes, they work just fine.
Don is an IT professional. I'm certain he knows how to connect a PC or a laptop to a wireless network. He says that Apple products sometimes have trouble connecting to wireless networks. I'm going to guess that this non-connecting issue occurs with non-Apple routers.
Does Ray Comfort use Apple products? There are plenty of other IT professionals that use Macs with no trouble with WIFI networks.

Tell me about the joys of managing music files on a Mac for use in your vehicle via a USB thumb drive.
Let's say I want to store music files locally on my computer without going through iTunes. Then I want to copy a couple dozen songs to a USB stick so I can play them through my home stereo system or in my car. Easily accomplished? Or a hassle?

Do you leave your iPod connected in your vehicle all the time or do you remove it?
Let's say I want to rip a CD on my computer and put the songs on a USB stick. If I have a Mac I have to upload it to iTunes first, and then transfer it to my USB stick. Correct?

iTunes is the program to manage music on the Mac but you can do this without using iTunes. Copy the files to the desktop and then transfer to the USB. I've avoided using iTunes frequently when I'm just moving songs from one place to another. If I want to store them on my computer, I do tend to put them in iTunes so that they are all in one place and easily accessible.
<Sigh> Yes, I know. But once you try to move that music onto an Apple device or onto a USB stick, it MUST go through iTunes.
OK, thanks for the info.

Actually, this isn't true as I've just mentioned.
None of our routers at home or at church or at our yacht club where we manage the network are Apple routers. I think at home we have.....4 Mac laptops, an Apple TV, Mac Mini and a plethora of iPhones, iPod Touches and an iMac connected to the router and it's fine.
I agree Macs do indeed just work. I remember when I had a blackberry and I was trying to get it to sync with Windows, boy what a hassle. These days of a using a iPhone and a Mac to sync it just works with few hassles. Yes sometimes I have hassles, but they are small in comparison with Windows. On the Mac I have rarely had hardware issues, and I fix all my computer problems myself. No need to use Best Buy Geek Squad or some other service, because I do all the work myself!
