Reaching Born-Again Homosexuals!

You read that right. On several other blogs, the issue of homosexuality has been brought up, only to be attacked by those gay folks out there in La-la-land going to churches that tell them they are born-again.

So when the topic is mentioned, these "born-again homos" argue that this can't be so, because their pastor and church say they are born-again.

They also argue that homosexuality is just fine with God, because He never mentions it being bad [of course He never mentioned the word "homosexuality" because it didn't exist in the day] or something people can't do.

We have a huge problem with churches and preachers willing to "itch the ears" of those steeped in sin, because that is what they want to hear.

They fail to see that God didn't create Adam and Steve or Adele and Eve. He created Adam and Eve.

They overlook the sin of Sodom and Gomorah, and ignore the teachings of Paul in his letter to the church in Rome [when he writes that God turns them over to their lust of men for men and women for women].

The main problem facing the church today is the manifestation of demonic influenced theologies and churches teaching that these sins are normal; that God made people gay; that homosexuality is never mentioned, in the vernacular sense, in the Bible; and that many people of star fame are advocating that God approves of both straight and homosexual relationships.

To present the truth, according to the Word of God, makes you a gay hating, homophobe.

When you tell them that they are on the highway to hell [and that the path to heavenis narrow] they call you a homophobe.

In my book, I would like to leave them to their sin, but, my heart says no! So, what do you say and think when faced with such obvious lies from born-again homosexuals???

Love them with the Truth. They will call it hate just like they have all week on the Chick-fil-A issue. I went to YouTube and watched all the spew from the gays on this and all they can do is spin us as haters for telling the truth. I think we must keep proclaiming the truth to them and not get caught up in the hate speech. God will either turn them or not. They are like drug addicts who cannot see their problem.

It does sadden me when I see preachers like Andy Stanley and Rob Bell refer to gays a Gay Christians. Can I embrace adultry and call myself a Christian? I feel the visible church is full of non-regenerate people calling themselves Christians. I see it everyday. It seems there is no sanctification process for today's Christian. Just sign a card or say the sinner's prayer and presto, your a Christian, tuck Jesus under your arm and off you go, no need to repent of the old self since you just added Jesus. G2G

In verse 9..the warning is Be not deceived....no one continuing to practice any of those sins is a child of God.

Some had been sinning in those ways....until Jesus sought them and pulled them out of those sins....such were some of you...he does not say...and such are some of you.....Jesus did not say to the adulteress woman...keep on fornicating...he said go your way and sin no more.

When the sin has been scripturally established, then explain how 2cor5:17 [new creation] takes place by the Spirit transforming the sinner into a sinner who is now called to be a saint. leave them ...no hope...outside of saving faith in Jesus.

Well, the truth is, some of them might very well be born again. But if they are, there is a war going on inside them..right now. And it will get more prominant.

I know I'll get blasted for this but here goes....

To say that there are no - none, zero, zilch - born again homosexuals is like saying that there are no born again people who smoke, cuss, view porn, lie, gossip, or eat like pigs.

To be sure, if a homosexual person claims to be born again and refuses to acknowledge what the LORD says about homosexuality, then he or she is deceived and is more than likely not saved at all.

But I believe - because I've read the testimonies - of homosexuals who were saved, but yet still struggled for a long time with their lifestyle. Defending it, being convicted by the Holy Spirit of it, fighting God over it, and fighting their own inner demons. But they did come to repentance.

Sexual sins are grievous. NOT more "sinful" than other sins, but as the Apostle Paul said, they are sins that affect us differently.

Can a homosexual be saved and still participate in that lifestyle. Yes, that probably happens. And they may even be deceived for a time that God is OK with it because He did save them. But eventually, as they grow in Christ - the TRULY saved will turn away from their homosexuality. If they refuse to acknowledge their sin, then the salvation was not genuine.

But the struggle is real.

A proper response to God's great love to us as sinners, is a reverent fear and desire to obey God .
Once god gets a persons mind right...their body will follow. the only legitimate expression for sexual activity is the marrige bed;

There is no "exception to this rule. paul will also write;

We have to understand that the Bible teaches that one is lost NOT due to being straight or gay, but by the fact that we are sinners, who are spiritually dead in state and realtionship towards god!

They sin by deviate lifestyle, while others of us were into drugs/booze/women etc...

There is a difference between one who identifes themselves as being gay, but desiring to see themselves instead as being a Christian, saved and washed in the blood of yeshua, and seeking to either be celibate, or else thru God grace becoming a 'straight" person...

MUCH different than a militant Gay person who is practicing and living out the gayness, flauting it, no desire to change, sees it being OK!

ther can be and are Christians who once saw themselves as gay, but now as in jesus and saved to becoming what God wants them to be!

the Church needs to affirm that God loves and saves them even while in that sin, but that He redeems them to come out of that sin!

When people say that Jesus said nothing against homosexuality, I ask them what He said about marriage. They of course don't know - and then I point them to the Scripture where Jesus repeats the Scriptures and says that a man will leave home and cleave to his wife and they will become one flesh. Then I ask if there was nothing wrong with homosexuality, why didn't Jesus address that possibility? Because it was wrong. It just wasn't done, wasn't accepted in the culture He was in and there was no question as to whether or not it was right or wrong. It's like our pastors don't need to be preaching against rape - it's known that it is wrong. Instead teaching about what is right is what is done. Caring for women, being a man of integrity - that sort of thing. It indirectly addresses the issue but because it's wrong, we don't need heavy teaching against it.

As for the OP, I believe there might be a new believer who is a homosexual but if they are truly regenerated, they will leave that lifestyle - even if they continue to fight the urges they have. An alcoholic will still have urges but that doesn't mean that it is right. In the same way, a homosexual person who has a pull to attraction of their same sex just might have to battle that thorn for their whole lives. But they WILL fight it because of the Spirit in them.

I don't really think there is anything "we" can do for them. Treat 'em like you would anyone else but short of the Holy Spirit..., there isn't much we can do. Course, as I understand the Word God "gives them up" to.... Being given up on by our Lord would take some mighty fancy foot work to get Him back.

The same thing as I do with any sinner who is not interesting in hearing the truth. I leave them in their sin, pray for them, and move on to the next person.

....but, the other day, I made a comment on another site about CFA, and Cathy having the right to say what he did on Biblical marriage.

I was bombarded with posts from people telling me they were born-again gays, attending a church, and that God didn't care about their life choice.

This is why I posted this. I wanted you all to know what is going on around us in some well known churches and denominations.

If the pastor of my church accepted born-again gays [allowing them to retain their life style] I'd be an ex-member before my hat hit the floor.

the bible states "as such WERE some of you"....

washed in the blood of jesus, saved by grace of God...

'gayness" is an identification with someone believing that is ALL they are...

When saved and in Christ, have to realise a Chrsitian who might face tempations, but no longer need to give in and accept that is who they are, but as what they were, now reborn into jesus...

But it doesn't change their "old nature," even after conversion to Christ. They still struggle with attraction to the same gender, they still may long to fill the other gender's role in the home, and they're likely to confuse their children when they reach adolescence and start asking questions.

At very least I think that we can and should acknowledge that homosexuality is a real condition (not a "lifestyle") even though homosexual ACTS are forbidden by scripture. Homosexual Christians should be celibate rather than impose their condition on a partner they cannot share a true marriage with. But they should not be shamed into hiding their homosexuality while others can be open about sins that are just as grievous. Nor should a homosexual who wants to live righteously be encouraged to get married to an opposite-gender partner as in order to "make themselves straight." Marriage to a partner of the opposite gender does not "fix" homosexuality. It only hides it from the judgmental view of church people and creates a terrible prison of loneliness for both the homosexual and his or her partner.

think that someone in grip of that lifestyle HAS to realise that while they miht have temptations rest of their lives, that in itself is not the sin issue, its following through and doing the acts that come with it!

Amd have to re orientate themselves to finding their identity in jesus, as he will ONLY fulfill the longings and desires they sought in others...

This assumes they want to change their activities, of course!

Side note, think why its such a hard sin to talk on is that Christians are painted as Homophobes, and even others in churches say its of God, real lovely etc!

ONLY sin that many churches promote and encourage, will there be promotion of "commit adultery" this week now also?
