Faith is NOT simply belief. James 2:19 assures us that even the DEMONS believe in the truths about God - but are not justified. James goes on to describe what REAL faith is (James 2:14-26). Paul also describes faith is a Christian virtue that is actually TOPPED by Love (1 Cor. 1-13) - and states that true faith can only work through love (Gal. 5:6).
True faith is complete surrender, which incorporates belief AND works (obedience).

This is PRECISELY the problem.because unlike how you view the RCC as being "infallible interpreter of the scriptures", we hold no one in that regard, as its the very scriptures themselves and only that are infallible!
When you have 100 different pastors with 100 different interpretations of a verse - you will get 100 different variations of doctrine.
Do you believe that they are ALL led by the Holy Spirit to this confusion??
OR, do you believe in the words of Christ, who said that the Holy Spirit would guide HIS Church to ALL Truth (John 16:12-15)??
