Well, they voted today - (Sat, 5 Oct) Debate officially closed - confirmation vote tomorrow
If they want at him, they will have to impeach him...…they may just do it to mess with trump...….or maybe they will impeach him too. But would look into that witch Feinstein from the land of fruits & nuts

Manchin will vote yes. He’s up by 8%, but if he votes no, imo, that leads evaporates in a nanosecond. He’s voting yes to get re-elected. Nothing more, nothing less.

Been out of town for a week but still followed this a little - yes, it's done, it's over, put a fork in it. Unfortunately, I'm afraid Manchin will cruise to victory again in a month, but I wanted to ask Church Mouse about Joe Donnelly.

He's got some big names going over there campaigning for him, how can he be sure this no on Kav vote is the final nail? He is NOT polling well there, he could go down like Heidi in ND and Claire in MO, but those two were dead in the water no matter. As for the GOP, Lisa the "Independent" always can be bought. Always.

Heitkamp’s beat regardless how she votes it seems. So at least she can have one more stab in the back of those she’s represented.

I don’t think it’s set in stone just yet. Flake said he was a yes unless something compelling comes up. He’s wishy washy, plus the Dims(I borrowed that from KYR) could still drum up some false allegations that BK partied with Bin Laden’s son in HS.

777, I'm telling you that you are very astute on these things, but it looks like a toss-up at this time. The GOP nominee Mike Braun is from southern Indiana so I don't think that he is so well known. He told Indianapolis radio WIBC host Tony Katz earlier this week that the money was mostly spent after a tough primary fight. I myself voted for my Congressman Todd Rokita, who had been Indiana Secretary of State. But Joe Donnelly is getting hit with ads saying that he acts liberal in DC and conservative in Indiana. One thing that hurts Donnelly is that he says he is against sending jobs to Mexico but he is part owner of a family business that has work done in Mexico.

I think that Mike Braun will win but not by much. At least here in Indianapolis, the economy is good in that everyone has a job and there are still a lot of vacancies. Defense spending is helping what is left of the manufacturing sector and stores, restaurants, and warehouses are all hiring. We have four Amazon warehouses and four warehouses for cell phones (California corporation Ingram Micro) as well as a Walmart online fulfillment warehouse and countless others. We also have a lot of trucking, which pays well but is very demanding.

Braun operates a wholesale warehouse type of business and he is smart enough to keep quiet and not make the verbal gaffes that elected Donnelly. The GOP has a much better party structure in all 92 counties, whereas the Democrats are strong only in the large city areas and the university town of Bloomington, IN (IU). If the black Republican movement is gaining in Indiana, then the Democrats will be in real trouble. They do not have any elected officials in the statehouse, do not control either chamber of the state legislature, etc. Where I live, it is two to one Republican, and that is probably true for all of the counties that encircle Indianapolis. Hamilton County (Carmel, Indiana) is one of the richest counties in the US and has more roundabouts in Carmel than any other town in Indiana, and they are solidly Republican.

So the race is very quiet.

Thanks for the question!

No need, I’m pretty street wise, but thanks for validating your propensity to name call. You may or may not notice, you are the only one who can’t help themself from doing that. Weakness.

No you are not.....and thinking that you are is simply laughable.....but that is what you get from a those who prattle on an on and on. The fact is, you have zero understanding and so you are complicit in the rapid dissolving of american values. Thats you...:Laugh
